Stunning Austin Wedding, Casual Holiday Outfits And More
I wanted to share the amazing wedding celebration that we attended last weekend, some outfits that work well for the holidays (or as gifts), my skincare on sale and a sappy romance movie that made me smile.

Stunning Austin, Texas Wedding

Last weekend, we had the best time with our “Family By Choice” Group friends (the FBC: the people we travel with) in Austin for the wedding of Jon and Caroline.

The flowers, candles and color scheme were stunning.

One of the most touching details was that each guest had a note at their place setting. Mine was from the groom, Jon, whom I have known since he was a toddler, expressing gratitude that we could be a part of this special day.

The photo is a little blurry, but here are all the “FBC”moms with the exception of the mother of the groom, Joy, who is with me in the first collage.
In our group text, this is what one friend wrote: “Amazing, tender, funny Wedding Weekend. Bountiful good vibes to Caroline and Jon. So happy to share the time with all of you.
J and B.”
I felt the same way.

INNBEAUTY Skincare
I’ve mentioned before that I like the INNBEAUTY Extreme Cream Anti-Aging, Firming, & Lifting Refillable Moisturizer on my face (and sometimes on my upper arms if I am “showing some skin”). Feels great on my dry skin but not too heavy.

So I was excited to try their Extreme Eye Firming Cream. It’s helping with my puffy eyes in the morning. Now you can save on this Extreme Cream Collection Duo. Save 20% off when you spend $50+ right now.
Then I apply a sunscreen like Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50 before makeup. I like that it’s clear.

Warning: This is cheesy and your husband won’t like it…but if you like Paris, Champagne and romance…just go for the escape…it’s Christmas!
J. Jill For Gifts For You And Loved Ones
This week, in our local J. Jill store I bought two pairs of flattering corduroy pants to go with two sweaters that J. Jill gifted me recently. I love that J. Jill carries petite (so no hemming for me), tall and plus sizes.

The ribbed sweater (regular small) looks nice with camel colored slim leg corduroys (petite) or a satin maxi skirt (regular x-small). Both are comfortable for casual holiday parties.

This soft sweater with embellished snap buttons (regular small) makes a nice present. And the sales ladies said that even though we are in Florida, the knit cap and gloves usually sell out with customers gifting them to family in colder climates. The high-rise corduroy flared pants are a nice look.

I wanted to buy the cozy leaf scarf that works with the outfit. But I might just hint about it. In fact, if you go into the J. Jill store, they can give to a sheet of paper to record YOUR wish list.

Let’s see what my friends have discovered this week:

Wonderful to have that circle of longtime friends/FBC — we all could use one of those! (and I always envy your having a hubs who is EXPERT at travel planning/organizing those group trips…) I tried to sneak your movie rec by my hubs on Friday evening, but he wasn’t having it, so it will have to be an evening when he is in his workshop! I was ready to pounce on that cuddly J-Jill cardigan, but online, it is showing NA in S and M petite (but fully available in regular sizing). Will try calling my local store.
The wedding was stunning! What was the venue? I live in Houston and often am in Austin. I also, love the Paris setting for the sappy Christmas movie.
Hi Mary Ann,
What a gorgeous wedding. The cake is so pretty, love the color the whole color scheme, it’s peaceful. Joy’s dress beautiful.
FBC friends are a blessing to have.
Wow, a lovely touch that everyone had a note at their place setting. I love that since I’m a big card person.
You are a perfect model for J Jill, the burgundy cardigan looks good on you and the cords too.
MA! What a gorgeous wedding … and so fun to be with your tight knit group of besties to celebrate. Long tables are incredibly elegant, what a memorable night. Adding this movie to my watch list, I’ll try to sneak it by Jim who will pretend to watch while following football scores on his phone. Those corduroy pants look great on you, and I may have to buy the satin skirt. So many cute things! xo
Love the dress you wore to the wedding. Is it still available.
You looked great!
Love the outfits Mary Ann. Do you have the cranberry boucle cardigan? You mention a regular small rather than petite size. Just wondering why? I’m 5’0 and short-waisted—wondering if I should go with regular or petite? I haven’t purchased from J Jill in a few years. I was a 6 petite usually and their small Petites covered 6 or 8:which would make them roomy and look dowdy. The x-small petite are 2-4 and would be too small. I guess I was in between their sizing. I would like to give them another try. I have lost some weight and more like a 4 petite now so maybe the x-small would work. What color are the decorative buttons? What do you think of the snaps rather than actual buttons?
I’m long waisted and the regular x-small looks better on me. But it sounds like the petite would be good for you. I love the snap buttons. They are sort of an antiqued gold.
Loved the cheesy movie. Great winter looks on you.
