My Journey

My family and I have lived in many beautiful places such as Florida (currently in Jacksonville and in the past Orlando and Fort Lauderdale), San Francisco, Newport Beach, Paris, Chicago, and New York. After college, I worked in advertising for large corporations.

20 years ago, after building, remodeling, and decorating several of our own homes and helping friends and family, I began to take on major design projects in Florida and California. About 12 years ago, I started this blog to document the renovation of our Newport Beach home (which was featured in the national edition of Better Homes and Gardens). Personally…

I love to laugh! I’ve been married to a great man for 39 years (he’s a wonderful cook and enjoys planning our family vacations). I am a breast cancer for 28 years. We discovered the aggressive form of cancer when our youngest was just two years old. I’m grateful for every day.

Now we have two grown children–a girl and a boy, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
