Recently, it was exciting to encounter the vibrant coastal design in Mallorca, Spain. From the hotel where we stayed to the local island shopping!
Each Sunday I share my top five favorite things along with my friends, Cindy and Annie. So when traveling (like in Spain now), it makes sense that where I am at the time influences cool things on my radar.
1. Rialto Living Store For Coastal Design in Mallorca
Rialto Living is an elegant retailer offering high-end clothing for men and women, home furnishings, gifts, and an airy cafe (Howard loved his cappuccino there). There are so many fun rooms to wander through each with distinct styles and colors.

2. Jacques Grange Designed Hotel
Hotel Cappuccino, showcases the signature eclectic style of the renowned Parisian designer, Jacques Grange. It was featured in Architectural Digest here.
This is where breakfast was served each morning.

3. Crisp Cotton Poplin Dress — Nice for Travel
I’ve been wearing the Bettina Tiered Shirt Dress by Anthropologie often on the trip as it washes so well and doesn’t need ironing. There are other colors. This is a regular small so it’s a bit longer than a petite would be. The Eileen Fisher sandals are sturdy for cobblestones.
4. Great Leathergoods From Quince
Speaking of good for travel, these are the only two bags that I brought on this 2.5-week trip and they still look fresh after a lot of use (my hair is a different story). Very well made. The reasonably priced Quince Leather Shopper Tote is roomy (comes in three colors) and holds my computer. The Crossbody Quilted Bag (made in Italy) is perfect for running around.
5. Zara Home
You probably know that Zara is a Spanish brand. In Spain, the stores are especially nicely merchandised.

Louisa LOVED the Zara kitchen (I hope I can find it in the USA). The espresso machine was especially cute.

Most Lovely Things
Your dress is beautiful, and comfortable looking.
Love all of these stores, so many beautiful things to see. And your hotel! I would love to have a hot chocolate there.
Zara is amazing and Zara home it too. Whenever I am in Europe I find lots of things to bring back from there.
They have a few wood kitchens on Amazon. https://amzn.to/46cMr6f
And if I remember Target had one by Magnolia.
Have a great week Mary Ann.
Enjoying your vacation photos! Looks like a beautiful trip. Love your pretty dress. Your little Louisa is growing so fast – and shes adorable! Xmas idea – check out Cutting Food set (Melissa and Doug make a whole line) – your little future Chef will love them (and they are absolutely safe).
I just can not get enough photos of Louisa. She is standing!!! Just precious. So is the dress you are wearing while holding the leather bags. Is it still available?xoxo. Kathy.
Hi Mary Ann, I’m now a Quince shopper thanks to your posts! Please send the link for the EF sandals you are wearing. The black slides. When I “clink” on the link mine goes right to Anthro. And precious Louisa. Your best helper!
Thanks.
Thanks, Carol!

Love seeing Jacques Grange’s design of Hotel Cappuccino — hope to visit there (sometime) soon!
Louisa is so sweet: looks like she may take after her papa (future chef)!
Have you ever happened upon “The Mallorca Files”, a PBS murder mystery series? It showcases the island and has a fun uptight Brit female detective and a fun-loving German male detective pairing up to solve murders.
There were some references to that show. I want to find it! Thanks, Joan.
How precious is Louisa in that adorable Zara kitchen? Mallorca looks like a beautiful city with wonderful shopping, and Hotel Cappuccino looks amazing. This trip sure is a wonderful family adventure!
It was great, Gail. I think we are finally ready to come home though!
Great post! Makes me want to plan a trip to Mallorca!, Love the dress in the photo showing the two bags you purchased. Can you provide info on it? Thank you!
It’s really comfortable: https://rstyle.me/+woxwQqan5ZtSEaNMFWmqeA
P.S. Your hair looks youthful and un-fussy European. I like it!
Ha! Thanks Bess!
Wow. Beautiful pic. Zara may want to use your granddaughter’s pic in their adds. It’s beyond precious perfect. I was going to ask you how you liked the Quincy bag size as your day and evening bag? I’m have a couple bags in that shape but they’re either an inch too short or a bit too narrow for my daily necessities. I’m thinking of getting the taupe color one. By the way I received and love the chocolate hoody sweater you featured. Love your dresses too. My favorite is the green floral one you’re wearing to dinner on your Instagram post,
My daughter wants to borrow that hoodie! The small black purse fits my phone, lipsticks, small hair brush, small wallet and two pairs of glasses. It was all I needed during the day.
Thanks! I will order via your link.
