Hello, how are you doing today? Green cabinets in shades such as sage, olive, grass, and emerald, are having a moment right now. Fresh like Spring, it’s many people’s favorite color. Green pairs nicely with unlacquered brass and natural wood…also popular finishes right now. Check out these images and let me know what you think! I’ve given paint sources where possible.

Green cabinets look great with vintage pieces and wood…giving a kitchen warmth. Also, they can be a nice backdrop for art.

Next Thursday, Cindy, Annie, and I along with a few other design bloggers are featuring kitchens. I’m excited to show you a friend’s beautiful classic white kitchen.
The source in the first photo is broke. Could you fix it please? Love the color, and want to find out more.
I’m with Karen. Love my white kitchen but could be convinced to repaint my island navy or a soft green.:) The greens are beautiful and act almost neutral with the while, black and wood tones.
Thanks MaryAnn for bringing eye candy and great ideas!
Mary Ann,
I love some of the lighter greens but I’m pretty sure I’m still a white kitchen girl. 😊
xo,
Karen
They are all beautiful! I am loving these greens (and blues too). So nice to see what those beautiful colors do to a space. Although I love the look of the open shelves, I personally could never have them (I need closed doors, although I try- my cabinets are never viewer friendly)
Hello! New subscriber here. I love all of these kitchens because I love the color green. Your SF home is simply lovely. I particularly love the soft green rugs in your foyer and master. Source? Look forward to seeing your posts in my mailbox!
Thanks, Barbara! The one in the foyer is from Restoration Hardware and we got the one in our bedroom on Etsy. It’s vintage washed Turkish rug.
So much to like in all these kitchens. I am really drawn to the darker, more saturated greens here, but I imagine all greens are pretty easy to live with. And I really love the open shelves paired styled with art as well as kitchenware. We spend so much time in our kitchens, they should feature all of our favorites.
That’s true, Janet!
Great post! I especially like the Cotswold Green. I am leaning towards softer colors to offset these harsh times. Looking forward to next weeks post too! Thanks for all of your pretty ideas!
Yes, Holly…and I’m liking more color to cheer us up.
I’m a big fan of a green kitchen! These are incredibly elegant examples … my afternoon is lost to them. xo
I love your shade of green, Juliet…but I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for next week.
If I could redo my rental kitchen, I would copy Ashley’s green cabinets in a heartbeat!

She color matched Farrow & Ball’s Vert de Terre at the Home Depot & it’s lovely.
Lovely!
So in love with this look , I’m getting ready to have my bottom cabinets painted
A a blue green that matches the plate rack and wine rack already mixed in with the
Cherry Wood . Do you think this look will soon be dated , are green kitchens trendy ?
Having cabinets professionally done is almost as expensive as replacing so I need to
love this for a long time .
That sounds gorgeous!
Beautiful kitchen! I was excited to see the collection of white pitchers in all the glass front cabinets on top. We built a house with similar cabinets, then moved in and I thought “what am I going to do with these?”. I didn’t want them empty but I also knew it would be too busy for my eyes if they were filled with disparate items. Our open house plan means you can see kitchen from entry – yikes! I started collecting vintage pitchers and eventually filled all the spaces. They have to be quite large (more commercial or family size thanaverage pitchers) to be seen from below and many are on risers for best viewing. I look at them as sculpture and have not grown tired of them.
I helped a lady in Charleston…with the same situation and we did a combination of pitchers and vases in white.
Green is a favorite color for me but working in a room requires a color that doesn’t absorb light. From experience I favor white so that I can see better and that I can see the dirt.
You will like next week’s post, Alice!
All of these kitchens are gorgeous and I love all the different shades of green. Not sure I’m brave enough to do such a bold statement, wish I was, but really enjoyed seeing how the right green can make a kitchen a showplace. Always love your posts that make us think outside the box!
I think of this as becoming more mainstream, Gail, since I see so much green lately.
LOVE THE DARKER COLORS.THAT ARTWORK POPS!
Yes, Elizabeth!
I like the Green Smoke, because I actually prefer black! I painted the ceiling of my kitchen/pantry/dining room/library (one long room) BM Hillside Green. I think I sampled over 13 greens on the ceiling before I chose that one. A young electrician apprentice walked in to see the ceiling samples and said, “Hey, dude, you’re going camo. Cool!”
So funny! I wquld love to see it.
Really liked the green cabinets. Especially the lighter greens. Trying to figure out if I can get away with this look and my black granite countertops that I can’t afford to replace. Inspiring post!
I think green looks great with black.
Every room is more beautiful than the next! I love green.
Me TOO. I think I would want to do it with white and green for me personally.
These are all beautiful, sophisticated designs. If I had to pick a favorite, it’d be the Green Smoke. I think all but the most muted sage tones are too much for upper cabinets. All the shades you’re showing would be great for lower cabinets paired with open shelving.
I’m new to your blog and enjoying it very much. I like your personal style (which doesn’t seem forced, unlike many style bloggers), your gentle tone, and the fact that you include a range of price points in the designs/products that you feature.
Yes, Ann. Thanks so much for the sweet comment.
Gorgeous looks thank you Cindy. I canot wait to do my kitchen and I have a look book going of details I like! One day….
Please can you do a blof on bedside lights? We have the wall attached arm ones but they need replacing, any ideas? Have a lovely day!
Yes, Francesca…but you will have to call me Mary Ann, first, …hahaha!
The green cabinets are such a refreshing change. I’m so, so over grey! Thank you for sharing these!
Thanks so much for commenting, Judy!
Green kitchen cabinets are so refreshing, all shades, light and dark Myself, I prefer the lighter sage color in the first picture, more of a neutral.
That’s a good one!
So many of those greens looked awfully close to gray. My cabinets were green at one point. They started out white, we painted them green, and now they are white again. I love the look but think I will stick with white. I found I tired of the green, but those kitchens are all very pretty! Great post!
You will like Debbie’s white kitchen…I’m getting some good shots.
I love the green cabinets, especially the darker hues. I almost chose green when we were renovating but chose a darker gray instead. I still love the dark greens and blues….
I bet that is beautiful, Ron!
I agree! The deeper hues look so rich. Love the featured pendant lights as well but they’re very pricey.
I think those pendants are well-made though.
