Easy Grilled Peaches & Prosciutto, Cooling Hybrid Mattress And More
Good morning. I want to share a grilled peach and prosciutto recipe that was a hit this week. Along with a mattress review, an autobiography that I have been enjoying and more. It’s Five Faves time with Annie and Cindy.
What Our Guest Room Was Missing
We are sleeping in our guest room since our primary bathroom is being renovated. I mentioned on Instagram that I put fresh Crisp and Cool organic cotton sheets on the bed that we love.

But the pillows on my side were too hard. So I bought a Luxe Goose Down Pillow from Quince.
And even though we have a Belkin combo charger on my side that charges your iPhone, Apple watch and AirPods, we did not have a charger for a laptop or iPad. So that has been added along with brighter bedside light bulbs.
What To Do With All Those Peaches – Grilled Peaches With Prosciutto
We had a lot of summer peaches from my post: A Paris Inspired Peach Dinner last week. Did you see it?

So when Mark and Mercedes asked us to dinner on Thursday, I asked if I could bring a dish that I have been perfecting over the years:
Easy Grilled Peaches with Boursin and Prosciutto

Directions:
- Cut ripe peaches in half
- Place about two teaspoons Boursin garlic and herb cream cheese in the centers
- Snip some fresh herbs on top like thyme
- Wrap a slice of prosciutto around each peach half
- Rub olive oil around each peach and sprinkle black pepper on top
- Cook on medium-high grill for about two minutes on each side
- Remove and garnish with more fresh herbs and drizzle with balsamic glaze, if desired
- Serve immediately or at room temperature

All About Me!: My Remarkable Life in Show Business, written and read by Mel Brooks
Howard suggested this book and I ordered it for free on the Libby app. It’s great as it’s in Mel’s own Brooklyn-accented voice and is so charming and full of life. He covers his boyhood, life in the Army and all of the famous people he worked with along the way.
Did you know he wrote the “Get Smart” television series and many movies? He’s 100 years old now and still alive.
A Leesa Sapira Chill Mattress Review
The Leesa Mattress company offered to send us a mattress to try under no obligation. So, if we didn’t like it, there was no way I would feature it on CCH.
We sent it to our son, Tommy, and daughter-in-law Mona in Tampa. I asked them to let me know what they thought and here is what Mona wrote to me:
Mona: When Tommy and I first moved into our house, we needed a mattress fast, so we ordered something without doing much research. Six months later, our backs were aching and the mattress just wasn’t cutting it.
Why We Chose the Sapira Chill
We live in Florida, so summers get hot and that heat doesn’t stop once the sun goes down! We went with the Sapira Chill, a cooling hybrid mattress with cushioned support. Leesa actually offers a range of options depending on what you’re looking for, but if you tend to sleep hot, the Sapira Chill is worth a look.
Finding the Right Firmness
Leesa gives you three firmness options to choose from: Plush, Medium-Firm, Firm. We landed on medium-firm, wanting the best of both worlds, enough softness to feel comfortable, but enough support to keep our spines properly aligned.
The Results
It’s wild how much of a difference a good mattress can make. The Sapira Chill has pressure-relieving support that’s been especially helpful for me, since I already deal with a sore lower back from weightlifting workouts and lower-back-focused exercises (I’ve got a naturally weak lower back to begin with).

The Verdict
A few weeks in and we are sleeping better and waking up with less pain. If you’re dealing with back issues, running hot at night, or are just overdue for a mattress upgrade, the Leesa Sapira Chill is worth putting on your list.
It’s Mary Ann again. I just read: “Leesa recognizes sleep as a vital component of one’s well-being, and partners with nonprofits across the US, donating mattresses to those in need.” So use CCH75 for $75 off if you decide to order.
What To Watch On Television – “Ride Or Die” on Prime
“Ride or Die follows lifelong best friends Debbie and Judith, whose bond is upended when Debbie learns Judith is a highly trained assassin.” I have to warn you that it’s very violent at times (I closed my eyes). But Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham have a great chemistry that’s warm and funny. And they take us with them on a fast-paced adventure around Europe.
Choosing Art Frames At Michaels
Recently, I stopped in at Michaels and had an enjoyable experience choosing custom frames for the antique prints that I bought in Paris. Two young, enthusiastic sales people helped me.

They are going in the new bathroom (that’s currently gutted). Have you bought art frames at Michaels?
If you would like to receive this series every week, please sign up HERE.
Let’s see what my friends have discovered this week:

I haven’t bought frames at Michael’s. I will visit them as I have a couple of vintage prints that need to be framed. They are an odd size, so custom framing is needed. I like the cream and green matting that you show alongside the print. Can’t wait to see how they turn out.
I have bought art frames from Michaels for many years. I’m currently having an African print matted and framed. Can’t wait to see it finished.
