The Eye Glasses My Family Loves, Hydrating Beauty Products
When I find something that’s working like hydrating beauty products for hair and skin, I like to share! I’m also talking about the prescription eye glasses that my family loves, and a cute transitional to Spring outfit and more.
It’s the best time of the week: Sunday Faves time with Annie and Cindy.

Warby Parker Custom Eye Glasses
My husband, Howard, sister, Teresa and son-in-law, Luca all swear by Warby Parker as their favorite place to go for prescription glasses. I haven’t needed prescription glasses since I had my cataracts removed.

Warby Parker offered to give me a pair and when I offered them to Luca…you would have thought I was giving him a sports car (I love that guy). After ballet class, he took his daughter, Louisa into the store for an Eye Glasses Date. (But I am sure donuts were involved, too).
They have a huge selection. “Starting at $95, including UV-blocking lenses with scratch-resistant coatings. After choosing your sunglasses, pick from a variety of prescription types and lens options to meet your vision needs. Each pair of sunglasses also ships free.”

Luca selected the Waller in Apricot with a classic gray polarized lens. And it comes with a case and lens cloth.
You can also try them on virtually (which is fun). And I just read that for every pair you buy, they will donate a pair to someone in need.
Hair Products That I’m Loving
Have you heard of the popular hair products by K18?

I was gifted K18 Peptide Detox Shampoo along with the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask and my hair feels great…like that freshly cut at the salon feeling. The detox shampoo is recommended once a week to remove product buildup and dirt for refreshed hair.

Then, I used one small pump of the mask, smoothed it on over towel dried hair. My hair feels soft and healthier. I’m going to buy the shampoo for everyday. It’s pricier than what we get at Costco but I could use an upgrade.
Skincare For Dark Spots, Exfoliation And Hydration
I’m going to be 70 in October (just throwing it out there to try to get used to it) and wrinkles are a part of life. But having wrinkled skin exfoliated and well-moisturized does improve it’s appearance.
The morning of the above selfie I had a facial (so I’m only wearing eyebrow pencil and lip gloss) at Serene Advanced Skin Care here locally. This is my third time going and Stacey, the aesthetician remarked on my skin’s improvement.
I told her that this is what I have been using:

- Exfoliating pads by Innbeauty
- Innbeauty Elastic Skin It’s firming and plumping.
- Innbeauty Recharge Gel Cream Hydrating and light.
- Remedy For Dark Spots (I apply directly on my dark spots at night…which lightens them a lot until I go out without sunscreen and they come back)
- So it’s important to wear a good sunscreen and I like Supergoop Unseen SPF 50. It’s lightweight and invisible.
- CEO Glow gives you a healthy glow. I pat a tiny bit on my cheeks especially if I’m going out at night.

Early Spring Outfit Of The Week
This is about comfort and layers for cool to warmer weather. I’ve been wearing scarves again…have you?

- Silk Bandana Scarf so cute around your neck or tied on your bag
- Warby Parker Sunglasses (try them on virtually 🙂
- Classic Premium Denim Jacket
- Lace Insert Red Peasant Top
- The Brava Flattering Ankle Pants (ordered these and they will be great for travel) comes in short, medium and long inseams
- Barbour Black and White Mini Tote
- Supple Italian Suede Loafers (I have these and love them)
Party “Graze” Boards
On Friday night, we had a party for 20 out-of-town guests that came here for a birthday celebration for Mark on Saturday. I made these charcuterie boards to serve with cocktails before dinner.

You can get the watermelon radishes at Whole Foods right now. I know, I’ve been making these platters for years. You may also like Make Your Best Party Platter Ever! And Easy GREEK PARTY Platter.

I bought the cropped tweed jacket by L’Agence to wear to our content creator’s meeting in San Francisco later this month…so you will be seeing it again. Very comfortable and it’s nice with just a tee and jeans.

Let’s see what my friends have discovered this week:

Hi
I wanted to let you know you can buy the K18 shampoo and conditioner from QVC (home shopping channel). The price was pretty good for such a high end product. I haven’t used it yet so I can’t comment on how well it will work or not. Love your posts!
MA! Your boards are works of art. What I wouldn’t give to be a guest at that party. Love the Warby Parker stores, but it’s been a while and I could use some new glasses. I’m sure Luca and Louisa had a blast. Appreciate the skincare recommendations. You have gorgeous skin … so I’m sold on whatever you’re using. xo
Hi Mary Ann,
I love Warby Parker. I go out into the store at Scottsdale Quarter in Scottsdale, Az. Luca’sun glasses are fabulous. He has excellent taste. His helper is adorable in her ballet clothes. Nice that Luca appreciates a nice gesture on your part. Manners and being grateful never go out of style.
Your charcuterie boards are incredible looking, tye lay out is artistically placed perfectly.
Your tweed jacket is great looking on you.
What is the date of your birthday in October?
This calls for a special celebration.
Mary Ann, you look much younger than your age! You have beautiful hair and skin! I ordered the Supergoop SPF 50 as all of mine are now outdated. This is a new product for my pale skin. The sun is out most days here in southern Colorado and the air is very dry. I hope this works on my combination skin. I’m 81 and still get outside for mile walks with our little dog, Trixy. Sounds like you had a partying weekend! Relax today and enjoy yourself.
Hi Mary Ann,
I went with my daughter to Warby for sunglasses and I am tempted to get some. Ah the ballet years….remember those fondly. Your jacket is so nice!! And I love the boards.Have a wonderful week!
Thanks, Francesca…I took here mom to ballet class when when she was little too.
Those charcuterie boards are gorgeous!! You are the best entertainer! Love Luca’s glasses and his little shopping assistant! I just ordered a new pair of Warby Parker glasses as well.
Yum! The charcuterie boards look delicious. You have a good eye on what is pleasing to see – and eat!
Have a great Sunday!
Thanks TJ!
Mary Ann, Love your little Warby Parker shopper! Luca’s glasses look great!
And those hair products–I need a detox shampoo!
Love those graze boards! So gorgeous!
xo
I didn’t know I needed a hair/scalp detox but I guess I did!
