The Calm Appeal Of Cool Mint Green For Summer
Almost every day, I take the five minute walk to the beach where I’m welcomed by a path painted a cool mint green. Actually most of the public paths to the ocean in Atlantic Beach are painted this shade. It always looks fresh and in sync with all the coastal colors.

So today for my favorite things with Annie and Cindy, I thought we could explore mint green outside, in decor and in salad!
Jo Galbraith At Home On Instagram
Jo’s use of mint green in her home is so charming.

Jo lives in New Brunswick, Canada. I messaged her that my mom loaded up six kids in the station wagon each summer to drive from southern California to Alberta, Canada to visit her mom. She said they did the same thing in the winter, driving from Toronto to Florida for a week. 🙂

What a cute pup.

What To Cook: Julius Roberts “Chicken Caesar Salad With Fresh Peas And Asparagus”

The other day, I sent this Instagram post to Howard, and he made it (above and below) just by following the video. It was delicious.

Good job, Howard.
Julius also has a cookbook: The Farm Table. “Enjoy the comforts of the English countryside with 100 seasonal recipes to savor throughout the year and thoughtful essays about living farm-to-table—from British chef-turned-farmer Julius Robert.”
Greek Salad With Fresh Herbs Including Mint
This Simple Crunchy Layered Greek Salad is one of our favorites and this time I made it with fresh herbs from our garden (including mint).

Reasonably Priced Clothing
Both Mercedes and my sister, Teresa love Quince’s value. Look how beautiful they are…

Mercedes has on a super soft Tencel jersey dress $50 (I felt it…like luxury pajamas and comes in lots of colors). Teresa loves her cashmere navy cardigan $80 and washable silk blouse $70 (she wants it in other colors like white).
And I am loving this cotton gauze set from the Gap Friends and Family 40% off Sale that just arrived.

The shirt is already sold out in black but there are other colors. The pants run large so I got an X-small petite. I’d like to have another color but they won’t last long. The Jack Rogers sandals are 25% off with code: Mom25
There’s also this mint green pajama set on sale at the Gap too. And now I have a hankering for Talenti’s pistachio gelato. Have you tried it?

What To Watch: Four Seasons On Netflix
It took a couple of episodes to get in to, but Howard and I both liked this remake.

And on the walk home… do you have any cool mint green in your life?

Hope you had a nice Mother’s Day. I just ordered and received my very first Quince purchase, a handbag and a linen shirt, the quality is really good, next I’m going for bedding! That chicken salad looks so good, going to try it. Thanks for a great post.
Mary Ann! I saw you post in stories this week I think about the path to the beach…and I do remember that and the cool mint color is so beautiful! I love how you’ve shared other things in this color! It’s really lovely, isn’t it!?
We started to watch that show with Tina Fey and couldn’t quite get into it, but since you said it took you and Howard a few episodes, I think I’ll try it again!!
Thanks for introducing Jo Galbraith from eastern Canada.Once going through her instagram, I see we share many design interests. Funny that an American living in Florida gave me that lead! I will check out the chicken Caesar salad…looks delicious.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Mercedes dress is beautiful. Love the black and the dark olive.
Binged The Four Seasons and enjoyed – bittersweet. Wonder if there will be a Season II……hmmmmmmm.
They definitely left room for a season two!
Love the mint green!
Love that cute gap set on you, and the salads sound delicious!!
They salads are great, Cindy.
That spin on Caesar salad looks delicious! We enjoyed The Four Seasons: light, but touching.
Have a great Mother’s Day, Mary Ann!
Same to you, Joan!
Yes to minty green and aqua! As a native Floridian transplanted to NC, I have touches of mint green throughout our home along with various shades of blue. I always enjoy your posts, and this was a good one. I especially appreciate the stylish, affordable clothes you share, especially from retail stores like Gap.
Thanks, Allison!
Cute outfit Mary Ann. What size did you purchase in the shirt? Both links take me to the pants.
Sorry about that. I got the regular x-small. https://rstyle.me/+3iFvdBABK93_HqBCfUpmcg Lots of colors and would be cute with white jeans, too.
Yes! We all need more mint green in our lives. Especially on front doors and beach paths. Jo’s home is one of my favorites. It’s funny, it never really dawned on me she lives in Canada! Love the dress Mercedes is wearing, might be a fun gift for myself today. Happy Mother’s Day, MA! xo
