Styling White Jeans in Cold Weather: Winter Tips
Yes, you can wear white jeans in cold weather! This is a reminder to move them into your regular blue jeans rotation! I know, it was hard for me to accept at first too. Style them with cozy sweaters and boots or sneakers for a chic winter look.

Here are some tips for white jean outfits for the winter months beyond Labor Day. I like white jeans to be a tad looser and definitely not “tight” for a more flattering look.
1. Layer Up with Knits and Sweaters
- Chunky Knits: Pair your white jeans with oversized chunky knit sweaters in neutral tones like cream, taupe, camel, grey, or navy. The contrast with the white denim creates a stylish winter look.
- Turtlenecks: A fitted turtleneck in a seasonal color such as black, burgundy or green not only keeps you warm but also complements the crispness of white jeans.
2. Add Texture with Outerwear
- Quilted Jacket: A quilted jacket provides a timeless look!
- Trench Coats: Choose a trench in a neutral shade like black, beige or khaki for an elegant winter look.
3. Footwear Choices
- Ankle Boots: Choose sleek ankle booties in leather or suede to create a streamlined silhouette that balances the brightness of white jeans. Wearing boots are the easiest way to transition your white jeans throughout the winter season.
- Leather Sneakers: These provide a bit of stylish comfort with your white pants.

White Jeans With An Ivory Knit Sweater And Beige Suede Booties
The cotton knit sweater is on sale at J. Crew. This is a small and there are other colors. I like the button detail.
The beige suede booties are waterproof and comfortable.
Olive Green, Sneakers And White Denim Winter Outfit
I have had this quilted Barbour jacket for years and it is my favorite. This is a very similar Barbour jacket on sale. The cropped ribbed polo sweater is soft.
I love the comfort of the Adidas Gazelle Indoor Soccer sneakers. When we lived in Paris and our son Tommy was seven and eight years old, he wore similar Adidas in black everyday to school. I love that they are so popular now.
Classic Black Turtleneck Sweater, Black Booties And Rain Coat
My sister, Teresa rocks a classic black sweater, white jeans and black bootie look. She inspired this look.
The Athleta trench can be dressed up or down. It travels well and has an attached belt. In fact, I took it on our trip to Europe last Fall.
White Tee, Shades Of Tan Or Camel Cardigan And A Touch Of Leopard Belt
It’s fun to have accessories like this leopard belt to pull out once in a while. I love those suede booties. The cardigan is already sold out from J. Crew Factory so I’m showing some similar ones below.

You both rock your white jeans looks! I usually wear white with white jeans and maybe a pale blue scarf or cardigan with my Easy Spirit pale blue clogs. My white hair and fair skin just looks terrible in red or black and never olive green. You are both so lucky to have a wider range palette!
