This one is special to me for so many reasons. Last year, our son Tommy married a beautiful Persian woman, Mona, whose family fled Iran due to religious persecution. Her father, Danesh, was a dealer who sold exquisite Persian rugs and imported them to America when he relocated.

Danesh died recently after an extended illness. I think of him fondly every time I look at the beautiful Persian rug that we bought/practically stole from him.
