Taking the Amtrack Train From Union Station, Los Angeles to San Diego
After spending time in Los Angeles with the kids, Howard and I took the Pacific Surfliner Train down from the historic Union Station to San Diego.
We were in a car where the seats face out to the ocean. Very pleasant! Even though it was raining.
New Quince Finds
The little cotton dress that I bought for Louisa is identical to the ones I have purchased from Hannah Anderson. There are so many cute patterns but right now Louisa insists on only wearing pink. I also bought her this organic cotton dress.
My sister, Teresa is wearing Quince’s tan and black Italian leather ballet flats.
Party Dip and Fruit Salad
My daughter had a fun Super Bowl party last weekend. Everyone brought something. Lisa made Allison Roman’s Labne with Sizzled Scallions and Chile (and topped it with cilantro).
Another friend Allison brought the colorful striped fruit salad.
For dessert, I made Carmelitas oatmeal bars with caramel and semisweet chocolate).

Refreshing Your Winter Home With Indoor Plants
Did you know Wayfair sells live plants that can be shipped to you? My sister is so happy with the fiddle leaf fig tree on the right that she bought on Wayfair. The sturdy white pot is elevated and larger so the tree can grow.
The plant on the left is from Trader Joes in an elevated wooded planter. Chief always likes visiting his brother, Judge.

Accessorizing A Round Coffee Table And Rectangular Console
Yesterday morning at our son and daughter-in-law’s home in Tampa, I did some some accessorizing with things I brought from home and accessories that they already had. First everything was gathered in one place.
The stunning CB2 coffee table was our wedding gift to them. The real marble is beautiful in person. The boxes are from Home Goods and the tulip bulbs are at Trader Joe’s right now. The vintage books give the arrangement a little soul.

I had no idea Wayfair sold live plants. That is a very healthy looking fiddle leaf with a straight trunk. Your sister must have the green thumb because her monstera looks great too.
