Patio from Winter to Spring: Refresh Your Space
As winter gradually gives way to the warmth of spring, it’s the perfect time to transform your patio into a welcoming oasis.
Here’s how Wayfair and a little “elbow grease (as my dad used to call it) helped us get our small patio and backyard ready for Spring. This is a sponsored post, but we like buying from Wayfair for their free shipping, fair prices and customer service.
Patio from Winter to Spring Ideas
Whether you enjoy hosting gatherings or simply love relaxing outdoors, incorporating a fire pit and refreshing your patio furniture can breathe new life into your outdoor space. There are some affiliate links at no extra charge to you. I appreciate your support.
1. Embrace the Warmth: Introducing a Fire Pit Adding a fire pit to your patio not only extends your outdoor enjoyment into the cooler spring evenings but also serves as a cozy focal point.

We love ours as it serves as a coffee table when not in use. The propane tank is hidden in the table so no gas plumbing was required and there is no hose to trip over. It came well-packaged and damage free with free shipping from Wayfair.

2. Refresh Your Furniture and Surfaces: From Cozy to Fresh We use a mildew cleaner on cushions and hose everything off to dry in the sun.

Our stackable metal dining chairs are from Wayfair, really easy to clean, and are reasonably priced for a pack of four. No assembly required.

3. Refresh Greenery, Gravel, Mulch Have you noticed how popular gravel and stones have become in landscape design? I’ve always been a fan as it feels very Provençal!
We had some new white Birds of Paradise palms planted along the fence and added mulch and new pebble and stepping stone walkways around the pool.

We used the same paver stones as on our pool deck for a seamless look.
4. Layer Lighting: Set the Mood Enhance the ambiance with strategic lighting choices (like the spot lighting on the palm trees in the corner set on a timer).

String lights or lanterns can create a soft, inviting glow that transforms your patio into retreat after sunset. We hung them on the perimeter of the small garden.

5. Insect Control
We like this DynaTrap Mosquito & flying Insect Trap. It seems to minimize mosquitos.
Whether you’re savoring morning coffee or hosting evening gatherings, your refreshed outdoor oasis will be a sanctuary throughout the season.

Beautiful. What are you using on the edge to keep the rocks out of the flower beds?
The landscapers used a bendable brown plastic edging that looks like wood.

Same here, Annie!
Your outdoor space looks like an oasis ♥️ It has a Newport Beach vibe 🤍🩶 Are you amazed at all the pollen we get at this time of the year? I’m hosing everything down daily. I know the mosquito zapper attract the good bugs too so we don’t use one. I’ve always used scented candles or plants that repel them.
Yes…Howard and I are cleaning the patio AGAIN today. Lots of pollen!
