Spring Table Setting With Floral Plates And Succulents
Here is a simple Spring table with floral plates and succulents that I set recently for an informal dinner at home. Why not embrace the colors of spring a bit early? There’s no better way to welcome the season into your home than through a beautifully set table.
And Wayfair can help! This post is sponsored by Wayfair, but as my friends and family know, “I am a Wayfair fan.” Wayfair’s website makes it easy to navigate to find all things for your home. And with reasonable prices and free shipping!
Today, we explore setting a spring table using floral plates and succulent arrangements, blending nature-inspired elegance with a touch of feminine flair.

Choosing Floral Plates
The floral-patterned plates from Juliska are the showpieces of this table setting. Oftentimes, I will use colorful salad plates to inject some color. I bought these handmade Italian earthenware plates from Wayfair. They evoke the freshness of springtime gardens and I like their organic, irregular shape.

Layering Textures and Colors On Your Dining Table
To create visual interest, layer your table with complementary textures and colors like these rattan placemats.

Succulent Arrangements:
Instead of traditional floral centerpieces, how about an arrangement of succulents? They are at Trader’s Joes right now waiting for you! Succulents bring a modern, sculptural element to your table while echoing the natural theme.

Adding Natural Accents And Ambient Lighting:
Our cane backed dining chairs and Visual Comfort floor lamp are also from Wayfair, with free shipping.

Choosing Glassware and Cutlery:
Keep the focus on your floral plates and succulent centerpieces by opting for understated glassware and cutlery. Wayfair has my favorite Riedel stemless crystal glasses including small white wine glasses.
Finishing Touches:
Arrange a variety of succulents in rustic terracotta pots or sleek ceramic vessels down the center of the table. Intersperse them with votive candles in clear glass holders to create a warm, inviting glow.

Black linen napkins add a bit of sophistication.

Love the plates. Hope they go on sale!
Succulents beautiful idea.
I didn’t know that succulents could be such lovely colors. I probably couldn’t kill them and the cat is too old to get up on the table. It was 17 for a high yesterday but we are up to 38 degrees today and 60s on the weekend here in Colorado! We lived in Iowa for a couple of decades 30 years ago. I don’t remember it being that could this late in the winter. Climate change is affecting us all. Love the simplicity of your beautiful table!
Thanks, Sydney! It’s hard to kill a succulent unless you water it too much!
Great post! Have you had luck ordering cutlery from Wayfair? Is the cutlery on the shown place setting from Wayfair? Thank you
That cutlery is from Quince. Thank you.
Mary Ann, lovely, you always “nail it.”
Thanks so much!
Beautiful! As always.
Any idea where I can find the arm chairs to go with these side chairs? I can’t find them on Wayfair.
Thanks for the reminder that spring isn’t far away!
I think the chairs might be from Pottery Barn.
Wayfair is checking into it.
Thanks!
I love your table setting! The garden feel of the garden plates and succulents make it so warm and inviting!
Those of us living in cold climates need a touch of Spring right now–we’re to have a high of 12 degrees here in Iowa today, but it’s to be warmer by the weekend. I’m definitely going to borrow your idea of using succulents for a centerpiece! Thanks for sharing!
I’m in California now and it’s going to be 77 degrees today! Feels like Spring here.
