Apartment Room Ideas
Foyer
There is a mix of French antiques (we lived in Paris for two years when our kids were little) and new things. We have rugs over the hardwood floors for coziness. An accent chair and bench provide some seating.
You can see how the bench looks in our new foyer here.
Living Room
I am still using those pretty throw pillows. You may also like: Freshen Up with PILLOWS! My Ten Favorite Sources.
Dining Room
We purchased new dining room chairs and a table since my last home tour. And I recovered the dining bench in performance fabrics. That mirror was in my childhood home. Using a mix of new and vintage makes it homey and less of a rental feel.
The Circa Lighting chandelier is newer here. And I’m always changing the table runners and centerpiece. Not to mention the gallery wall in art with different frames.
We used this antique bookcase and a console table and for storage space for extra dishes.
This is a nice spot to enjoy the view and it feels like home.

Pine dressers with great storage.
Apartment Kitchen Decor Ideas
It’s your basic galley rental kitchen that I’ve tried to fix up with accessories like the Roman shade and washable runner. We also got approval to paint our kitchen cabinets Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.
Our dated rental kitchen and bathrooms are a downer, so I focus on the positives like our view.
The pantry was reorganized and freshen in this post.
Small Apartment Guest Bedroom
It’s compact but functional with small side tables, colorful wall art and a quilted velvet quilt.
