Hello, my friend. Welcome to my five faves, with mix and match floral outfits inspired by Mother’s Day. Cindy and Annie will have theirs at the end of the post.
Floral Outfits and Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Here are some Mother’s Day gift ideas…
Be The Present
This year, with my mom in heaven, our daughter is making the trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco to be with me. The best present that I didn’t even ask for! I’m lucky my kids and I always have fun together.
If your mother is also gone, take a walk and talk with her in your head, remember a funny time. She would want you to smile.
“A mother’s hug lasts long after she lets go.” —Unknown
If you still have your mother and can’t be with her this year, call her and also send her a heartfelt letter. Here are other gift ideas…
Super Soft Pajamas
I have these Eberjey pj’s in navy and love them.
Flowers Book By Charlotte Moss
“Flowers” by Charlotte Moss is brand new and looks gorgeous. I already bought this for my mother-in-law (keep it under your hat 🙂 as I was afraid it would sell out.
Charlotte is a fan of “informal” bouquets.
Personalized Necklace
This gold necklace is such a sweet gift.
“World’s Best Mom” Straw Bag
This straw bag inspired these mix and match floral outfits. This would be good for travel. You could wear the red top and skirt together as a dress or separate them (50% off right now).
black blouse • sunglasses • initial necklace • peasant top • peasant skirt • straw hat • light wash jeans • stretch belt • thong sandals • straw bag • embroidered mules

Let’s see what Annie and Cindy have in store for us!
Your comments on your mom hit me, and I will do just that, take a walk and talk to mine in heaven. I told my adult son yesterday she would have been proud of him, so patient with an older department store cashier struggling to get the discounts to register. As we waited maybe 10 minutes (apologizing to those waiting behind us) he joked and said kind things to her. She said he made her day. My mom loved to shop at the local mall and many of the clerks knew her. Sweet memory.
Oh you raised a good one, Carol. You are right, your mom WOULD be proud. Thanks for commenting.
My MOTHER NEVER gave me a HUG!I just realized that!
I bought the BOOK by CHARLOTTE MOSS and read from cover to cover………….than I GIFTED TO OUR FRIEND MADAME HEIDI for her BIRTHDAY!It’s GOOD and I enjoyed the photos…….I also liked her list of MUSES!
Sold! If I don’t get it for Mother’s Day, I’m buying it for myself.
Mary Ann,
Your kids will bring joy on this special Mother’s Day. I remember when my mom passed the first year I kept forgetting she was gone. I think there was such comfort in having mom be there always, but your kids will help you celebrate the joy your mom provided your family and make it a joyous day.
xo,
Karen
You are so kind, Karen. Thank you.
Hi Mary Ann,
Oh dear my comment disappeared. Well anyway, I received the book last week as a birthday gift from Elizabeth and I love it. So much to drool over! Also inspiration for future paintings.
Cute how you paired the bright shirt and skirt with black, I probably wouldn’t have thought to do that.
Always looking for something good to watch, thanks for the recommendation!
Have a great Sunday,
XO Heidi
Oh happy birthday, Heidi!! I love my tulip painting!!!
I have had my eye on the Charlotte Moss book, great suggestion for a Mother’s Day gift. I’m sure this year will be a difficult one but so glad to hear Alie is coming to visit. I overlooked a text from my daughter the other day and she called me the next day to make sure I was okay. With two kids she is quite busy so we usually text, when she called I thought something might be wrong!
Linda
what a great relationship you have with your daughter, Linda. I HOPE I get that book 🙂
Thank you for posting the cute outfit! I’ve been looking for a black stretch belt. Just ordered this one.
I think I could use that too, Judy, to wear with skirts.
