Hello! It’s time to have a little fun with wearable Spring fashion with six other stylish bloggers. If you are new here, I live in San Francisco and prefer a classic, comfortable look with my attire and interiors.
For this post, I am using a lot of what I already have and mixing in a couple of new things. I feel optimistic that we will be out of our workout clothes soon and into the public. What about you?
Wearable Spring Fashion

Embroidered Peasant Top and Sneakers
This is a comfortable look that I will wear now and into the Summer.

Anthropologie Peasant Top β’ Braided Belt (old from the Gap) β’ White Jeans β’ Red Vans Sneakers β’ Tory Burch Satchel (sold out online — this is a similar one that comes in white and different colors) β’ Kate Spade Sunglasses

Striped Button-down Shirt and Booties
Here I am in my sister’s backyard in San Diego. As it warms up I will wear the shirt with white jeans and sandals.

J. Crew Striped shirt (this one is in petite, also comes in regular and tall) β’ sunglasses borrowed from my sister β’ skinny jeans β’ Comfortable booties from Madewell
Packable Black Suit, Tshirt with Sweater As A Scarf
Below I am dressed to go out to dinner with my husband, Howard in San Francisco. I bought this suit last Spring but didn’t have much opportunity to wear it. But, boy I was sure glad I had it in the closet to wear recently for my mom’s funeral in San Diego (I wore it with chunky heeled pumps and a silk blouse). It’s versatile and still available in the stores.
Lately, I’ve noticed the young Instagrammers wearing sweaters as scarves over jackets and coats (which we did in the ’80s) like it’s a new thing π I’m wearing one with a Madewell t-shirt that I really like as it is boxy and doesn’t cling to my rolls (which are proving tough to eliminate although I keep finding excuses).

Theory Black Crepe Jacket and Pantsβ’ Madewell Boxy Tee β’ Readers from Target β’ Chanel Ballet Flats β’ Cashmere Sweater Worn As A Scarf (on sale right now)
I like to mix high and low like Chanel flats with Target eyeglasses!

That is my Wearable Spring Fashion! Now I am so excited to see what these ladies have in store for us as I really admire them all!

Hi Mary Ann,
I’m so ready for spring and for possibly having a few social gatherings with our circle of friends that have been vaccinated. And some of these cute clothes will definitely be motivation for purchasing a few items.
xo,
Karen
We met our friends last night for dinner…it was so pleasant!
Adorable, MA. You always look so effortlessly chic. Love those red vans! And, your black suit … yes, sweater thrown over shoulders like we did back in the day. This outfit makes me long for my working days in San Francisco. Even before the pandemic people don’t seem to dress for the office … I always thought it was fun. But, back to reality … I’m ready to get out of my workout clothes and into some of these cute pieces for spring! xo
HI Mary Ann,
I finally had time to read your post! So many nice items here, love the red shoes. I realize I have maybe one or two red items in my entire wardrobe. Oh and three red coats!
It must be fun to dress for the city, I know when we visit βwhat to wearβ is always one of the first things I think about! Iβm glad itβs cool to wear the sweater tied on our shoulders again, I always loved doing that, warm and practical! And looks good!
You loo great and I see no ROLLS~
XO Heidi
Thanks, Heidi! We need to get together soon!
You look great and Iβm in love with the Anthro shirt, so fresh and happy. So funny about the sweater around the neck I never stopped wearing that, still do. Totally preppy. Love it. Great job MaryAnn. Always stylish.
Love the striped crew look! Iβd wear that too! It just looks so casual and chic ππ»ππ»ππ»
Thanks Sarah! Your post was great.
Thanks for inviting me to the party! So fun to hang out with you ladies today with all the fashion style ideas. You always look great Mary Ann! Love these ideas!
Such a great raincoat you have, Rhoda.
You think I’ll ever get out of my jogging pants? Sweater as scarf new? I thought it was a standard way of dressing. You look great. Then again you always look great. Love all your looks. Do you think we’ll ever get rid of those rolls?
Ha!…speaking of which Sandra, I need to get out for a walk!
Youβre so stylish!! Loved this post.
Thanks, Kristen!
Mary Ann super cute looks here. I so love seeing SF in the background too. The Anthro shirt is pretty and the red sneakers just add that cool bit that makes it all work. I love that you are in Vans- the original California sneaker! I have had so many. I dig the new trend of the sweater over the shoulder, which I always do and now is a thing again! I was going to write about that. It looks chic and is actually useful too. Your mix of high and low is always California chic and I love it. Thanks for asking me to join you ladies. Really enjoyed doing this so much- and seeing everyone’s looks. xo Kim
Thanks, Kim. I was wearing Van’s as a teenager. I love the cushy soles and price. Loved your post.
Red shoes get my attention every time! Those are really cute….really like your style!
Paula
Ha! They seem to go with a lot of my clothes.
LOVE THE RED SHOES!
HIGH LOW ALWAYS IS A GOOD LOOK!

I love your post, Cindy. I wish you’d do a post on how you organize your accessories! You have such good ones and they always look so fresh, even when then are vintage.
