Indoor Chaise For Ultimate Style and Comfort

How about a beautiful indoor chaise for comfort? Carve out a comfy place of your own to put your feet up and read, nap, or look at the view?

Consider an indoor chaise longue. This is French for a long chair which has somehow become a chaise lounge (you DO lounge in one) in our vernacular…or just plain “chaise.”

Indoor Chaise In The Living Room

A living room corner is a great place for an indoor chaise. This one has lots of natural light by windows for reading.

A chaise like the one below provides extra seating. A throw blanket lightly tossed on it looks charming.

Indoor Chaise With A View Of The Garden

This chaise is facing out towards a view. Note how a small side table makes it convenient for a drink and a floor lamp provides extra lighting.

Upholstered Chaise in the Bedroom

This is a classic English roll arm style that my client loves in her bedroom for a quiet place to read. With its deep cushions and slim, tailored profile, it’s a perfect spot for lounging. There are lots of fabric options from which to choose.

Here is another great spot in a bedroom for daydreaming on a velvet indoor chaise. And again, it’s styled with a throw blanket and pillows.

I love the idea of a chaise, especially in a bedroom! All those years living in California with big bedrooms, now no room for one. They are perfect for certain spaces!

  2. Such pretty examples of a cozy chaise to enjoy a good book or even a nap. I don’t have room for one but if I did I’d love one of these.

  3. I am with Linda – not enough room in my casita. Excited to see and hear about the Florida fixer-upper. Looking forward to plans and pix. Thanks for all the great ideas in your posts. Just love C.C.H.

I wish I had room for a chaise…maybe someday when we remodel. Congratulations on your home purchase! Another fixer will be great, hope you will be taking lots of photos to share. 🙂 I am sure it will be gorgeous when you are done working your magic!

  5. In the House and Home photo, the chaise facing the garden, I am very curious about the upholstery fabric. It looks lush and so cozy. Any idea what it is?

  6. I can vouch for how wonderful a chaise can be. I have one that is a double width in my bedroom. I can easily turn it 90 degrees to face my fireplace/TV in a cabinet. It’s my cozy place to read or watch tv from for the last 20 years. I can’t tell you who it’s made by but bought locally in SLO; I chose a custom slip cover. The cover is still holding up but it’s nice to have the option for an easy change if I chose.
Have fun making plans for your new home on the opposite coast!
