Simple Green And White Christmas In The Dining Room

Welcome to the 2022 Holiday Home Tours all week long organized by Jenny of Evolution of Style. Today, I’m sharing my simple green and white Christmas in the dining room.

If you are coming from Southern Heather, welcome! This is our first Christmas in our Florida house after moving from San Francisco in the Spring.

Faux Christmas Trees On A Console

The small pre-lit Christmas trees on the console are from Pottery Barn from a couple of years ago (similar). The idea is to make it feel “foresty.”

Wicker Placemats On Major Sale in White

A few of my friends have purchased these versatile wicker placemats. The white ones are on clearance.

Wall Color

When we had dinner here the other night, my son commented on how much he liked the color of the room. He said it was “relaxing.”

Which I think is a good choice for a dining room! It’s Acacia Haze by Sherwin Williams.

The extendable table is from Crate and Barrel, the chairs are by Pottery Barn and the chandelier is from Circa Lighting with Ballard Designs wicker sconces.

Please be sure to go to the next dining room on the tour after this… my friend Annie’s of Most Lovely Things!

Now let’s join the rest of the tour…

Mary Ann, your dining room looks beautiful. Love the rosemary trees, the little tea light holders and the side board of trees.

  2. I really love the natural elements and the colors and the naked table… however something I’ve been wondering for some time. I see so many uncovered/placemat-runner tablescapes these days–do you not worry about spills/wet rings of glassware/oily dressings on the uncovered portions of your table?
I would love to use our table without heat matts and a cloth, but I could see that working for ONE event and then having my heirloom table ruined! Thoughts?

  3. Mary Ann you have the “touch” wherever you go! I think you definitely nailed “foresty” in your pretty green dining room! Love all the fresh and faux greens, twinkling white lights and candlelight and hope you enjoy lots of happy times in this dining room this holiday season! Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas!

  4. Mary Ann, Love this space and Tommy is so right it’s calming and relaxing…and so pretty. The topiaries are the cutest idea. I bet they smell good too. Love wheat you’ve done with the home already! Hope it’s a fun Christmas in the new place.

I love the colors and decor in your dining room! The backdrop behind the bench is perfect and really stands out as a focal point. Even the green ribbon is stunning. But to have a compliment from your son has to be the best comment ever! I’d love it if any of my kids said they liked something. :/ Cheers to having many dinners in your relaxing dining room. It really is gorgeous. Enjoyed hopping with you today. Merry Christmas

    Hi Mary Ann,
The dining room is so peaceful. Everything you created gives me a sense of calm. I do agree with Tommy.
The console vignette is wonderful from the lighted faux lit trees and all the pinecones.
Rosemary is such a pleasant fragrance, these trees are so delightful. You are highly talented.
    Thank you for sharing.

  8. MA! I agree with your son … green is relaxing and I love your new dining room. Those tiny terracotta saucers are perfect for tea lights … brilliant! And I love your little faux trees … I’m going to try to do something like that. Your family’s going to make beautiful memories in your lovely, coastal holiday dining room! Fun tour.xo

  9. Will be incorporating a number of your ideas from your lovely holiday dining room. Rosemary trees and tealight saucers for sure! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Mary Ann! Acacia Haze is magical in your organic, nature-infused holiday sanctuary of a dining room. I can imagine the scent of the rosemary wafting and the serene glow of twinkling candles upon the table. I would be feel so welcomed into a space so lovely. Wishing you and yours a season of blessings and dinners that stretch long with laughter and smiling faces gathering around the table. xox

  11. Oh so pretty. I love how you’ve used the pottery for little trees down the center of the table and for the tea lights saucers, so pretty and so clever. Your forest of trees are beautiful, so a pretty accent against the wall. I agrees with all the others, the wall color is perfect.

  12. Catherine says:

Beautiful! Are the up-lights in your fiddle leaf figs electric or battery operated? They have a lovely illumination.

  13. Hi Mary Ann

Your table looks darling and what a clever idea to use the mini saucers for tealights! I love the color of your dining room as well. I agree with Tommy.
