Our Groovy 70s Party, Perfect Christmas Presents On Sale

Here are some perfect Christmas presents on sale for Black Friday/Weekend — Cyber Monday for every one, and a nice orchid gift you can make yourself. I also want to show you the fun we are having in Palm Springs with family and more!

It’s Five Faves time with Cindy and Annie.

1. Decorated Orchid Plants As Gifts

Here’s a great gift. A double orchid “doctored up” for the holidays with moss and small white pinecones.

Here’s how…

2. Portable Wrapping Paper Organization

I’m excited about this inexpensive gift wrapping organizer as it allows me to move around the house to wrap presents. My office is where I normally wrap gifts but that will become a guest room at Christmas so I can easily move this to my bedroom (I like to sit on the floor to wrap presents).

You can buy the Wrapping Paper Organizer Storage here and all my gift wrapping essentials here including the brown paper boxes that I store and reuse every year.

3. Perfect Christmas Presents On Sale: Black Friday And Cyber Monday

It seems that Black Friday sales sometimes extend all weekend and Cyber Monday can start on Sunday. I’ve missed out in the past 🙁 Here are some good ones…

4. Canva For Creative Personal Invitations And Printing

I have so much fun designing things on Canva like this invitation that I made for my sister-in-law’s party. I have a paid version but the free one is great too. I had a printed poster of this made too…it was easy, they do it for you.

5. 70’s Party…Costumes and Karaoke

Honestly, it’s been a rough year in our extended family with three deaths and some serious illnesses. So, this Thanksgiving we cut a little loose. You can watch the reel here.

I’m grateful for this gang.

  1. MA! Your family is so fun, I’m glad you were able to cut loose over Thanksgiving. Laughter is very healing. I literally dropped everything and ran to the garage for moss to ‘doctor’ up my very good 😉 faux orchid. Brilliant! You have the best ideas. xo

  2. Oh you guys should be professional entertainers. You really know how to plan a party!

  3. Party looked like a good time and memories for everyone. Would you share how you care for the cashmere/wool poncho? I know the usual care for wool but sometimes there something new to learn. I too often find the holes left by the moth/larvae. Hate it.
    Thanks

    1. I hand wash and air dry the cashmere…and use cedar hangers and blocks in the closet…still find moth holes once in a while though.

  4. Thanks for the great Xmas gift suggestions — very helpful.
I really enjoyed seeing your brothers’ Retro birthday/Thanksgiving celebration. I wish my family was as fun-loving as yours!

  5. Thanks for another great pick from Madewell. I bought the sneakers and last week I bought some great boots that were also on sale. Love your posts!

  6. Katherine says:

What a fun 70 party, groovy to the max. Looks like you were having lots of fun.

  7. Mary Ann that looks like such a fun party. I would totally do that. I didn’t know you had brothers! Great idea with the orchid! I love those Maxwell tennis shoes too.
    xo
