Gifts To Delight Your Grown Kids, Friends And More
Here are some gifts to delight your grown kids. Last weekend we celebrated our son’s birthday along with a bridal shower for his fiancée. He was delighted with his gifts, so I wanted to share those along with some other great things. It’s Five Faves time with Annie and Cindy!
Lightweight Cashmere And Versatile Pants For Your Men
Our son, Tommy loves the new Quince lightweight Mongolian cashmere sweater and the organic cotton stretch chinos that we gave him. He wore them right away. (Excellent pricing!).

A Gag Gift For The Jokester
When I saw this gag gift on Etsy, I knew Tommy would love a prank like this. So, we put the spilled coffee on the coffee table and waited for him to find it.

I was upstairs when I heard him call “Uh oh, Aunt TC I think you need to come here!” Ha! He thought her dog knocked the cup over. But then on closer inspection…

Know anyone who would get a kick out of this?
For The Paris Lover – “Paris Chic” Coffee Table Book By Assouline
Tommy saw this beautiful book while in Paris. His fiancée surprised him with it for his birthday. I had a chance to look through it for places that looked familiar and those that didn’t. It’s like a dreamy escape. I’d like to have it, too.

You can find all my favorite books for gifts here.
Cashmere Socks For Everyone
Our daughter has these socks on her Christmas wish list. Which got me thinking, who wouldn’t want these (and the price from Quince good).

Smile Inducing See’s Candies – Send Something To Share
In California, we grew up with the treat of See’s Candies around the holidays. You can send this iconic one pound mixed box (already wrapped) to someone in or outside California with Amazon!

Bring Flowers To Your Host In A Pretty But Inexpensive Vase
For the bridal shower that my sister, Teresa hosted, we picked up flowers at the grocery store and arranged them in this brass colored metal $10 vase from Target!

Flattering Dress For Warmer Temps
Ok, this may not be in the “Gifts To Delight Your Grown Kids” theme, but here’s what I wore to the shower.

A Fall colored embroidered shirtdress from Sezane (I had to have it shortened a few inches). I was comfortable and I’m sure I will wear it again and in the Spring.

Howard and I just started watching this easy, sweet, funny series about a lonely widower, retired professor (Ted Danson–he’s so good).

Most Lovely Things
On Tuesday, we are showing Christmas Decor Inspiration to get you going with yours! Yesterday, I put on Christmas music and had our handyman help me put up decorations. That was money well spent since we were done in two hours (what would have taken me 10)! So come back to see what we did.

Hi Mary Ann,
The “gag gift,” looks like the real oh my spill.
Fun fun fun, for a ha ha moment. You are full of mischief, my kind of girl.
Mona’s maxi dress is so pretty, love the look. The Peony’s are beautiful, the arrangements were so pretty that you and Sister created. The bridal shower looked lovely. It’s such a feel good to see two young people in love.
My wonderful grandmother used to always have a box of Sees candy at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner table. I remember my living favorite were the milk chocolate Bordeaux.
Hi Mary Ann. Few of the reviews state the pants ran longer than listed in description . One person said two inches longer than listed. Noticed your son has them rolled up. Did he find they ran long too? Sweater and pants look great on him
Yes. He’s going to get them hemmed but wanted to wear them right away.
MA! Love the Starbucks cup gag gift. I’m getting it for Jim who loves to come home and scan for anything gone wrong. He can’t help himself and this will be good. Also, who doesn’t love and want a box or two of See’s Candy? My grandmother always had one waiting when we arrived for the holidays. My favorite! Cute dress, hope we get to hear more about the shower. xo
That will be a good one for Jim. Ha!!
I have that vase and also use it to drop a fall grocery store candle inside. It’s a perfect fit. I also have the the short one and use it for shorter plain glass candles or a Trader Joe’s Plant. They currently have a very small brass tray that I passed on, but think I may pick up.
I think my son may find The Quince sweater under the tree.
Great ideas, Melinda!
