It’s nice to be home after close to three weeks away. It was an amazing trip but its always good to be back in your own space and catch up on all our stored up TV shows!
Now that we are spending more time indoors with fewer daylight hours, a new rug can make your room cozy and fresh. I love how the Serena & Lily rug that I purchased for my office warmed it up and added texture.
So when Serena & Lily offered to collaborate, I was already sold. And good news! Serena & Lily is having a 30% off sale on their rugs now through Wednesday, November 13. I can’t remember discount this big before.
The Serena & Lily Mirabelle Rug
Before
These before photos are worse than usual as I took it this morning while it was still foggy. I couldn’t wait for the fog to burn off as I needed Howard’s help to get the NEW really heavy, top quality rug down.
After
The Serena & Lily Mirabelle rug is Batik design inspired with ivory and dark gray and black loops.
The Mirabelle rug made entirely by hand by artisans in India. I would definitely recommend this beautiful rug to my clients.
It’s very cushy and made of 100% New Zealand wool with a cotton backing. Since the Mirabelle rug is hand-made, no two rugs are alike.
Chief gives it an A+++!
And speaking of beautiful…look at the roses that I got at Trader Joe’s today!!! With my cousins visiting from New Jersey, I wanted to spruce things up a bit 🙂
Chief and I would like to say thank you to Serena & Lily for making life softer and prettier around here!
Don’t forget to check out the Serena & Lily rug sale before it ends… so that a new rug can make your room cozy and fresh, too!
Next Thursday, I am participating in a Winter/Holiday Fashion newsletter with five stylish bloggers. Stay tuned 🙂
Hi. Can you please give your honest opinion of how easy it is to keep clean? Does the cream background get very dirty over time? Thanks in advance.
Ours is in our main room and we eat in there. There are a few spots but they seem to come up with stain remover. But I’m not sure I would get it with a lot of pets and/or eating.
Hello,
I just found your blog through “Savvy Southern Style” and noticed your beautiful coffee table. I live in England, so it’s probably not available here, but could you give me some information about it? It has the most brilliant shine, does it always look like that?
Bente in Hertfordshire, U.K.
I had just polished it using Old English and Pledge. I bought it a long time ago in a furniture store that is no longer around. Sorry.
Thanks!
Hi Bente-
I love that coffee table too! I found a very similar table online from a company called Jonathan Charles.
I am head over heels for this rug!! What a beautiful, stylish touch to your already gorgeous room! I recently bought a rug from Serena & Lilly but made the mistake of putting it in a room that my kids visit all too often. Luckily my professional rug cleaner got it all taken care of! Can’t wait to see your Winter/Holiday Fashion newsletter!
That’s a terrific rug! It’s funny, but until you put the rug down I never noticed how beautiful your coffee table is. Of course you always have it styled beautifully, but the piece itself looks much more important and detailed. Amazing room.
I love the new rug and the way it pulls the living room together, inviting you to have a seat and visit! 🙂
xo,
Karen

Oh Mary Ann…I been in love with that rug at S & L for ages but don’t have a place to put it. It looks gorgeous in your living room and Chief seems to love it too! You are always making changes in your LR and I love everything you do.
Thanks so much, Gail.
