Good morning! It’s time for our Five Faves with Cindy, Annie, and a guest Sheri Silver! Today mine includes two great television shows and some fresh spring colors for your home accents. Just a new throw or pillow, some grocery store flowers can brighten your space!
All Creatures Great And Small on PBS Masterpiece
“James Herriot’s adventures as a veterinarian in 1930s Yorkshire get a glorious new adaptation in All Creatures Great and Small, a seven-part series based on his beloved books.” We watched the whole first season and it’s been renewed for a second one.
Searching For Italy with Stanley Tucci
On CNN, this program fills the Italy travel void a bit. I want a bite of that pizza. “Every episode is stuffed with regional specialties, prepared in family kitchens and scenic restaurants alike.”
Gentle Daily Facial Peel
I’ve been using Dr. Dennis Gross’ Universal facial peel since I tried it at my daughter’s house. “It’s a two-step anti-aging AHA/BHA peel pad pre-dosed with five acids to visibly reduce dullness and uneven texture, pores, and dark spots.”
After a week, I am noticing my pores on my nose are getting smaller. I will report back after 30 days.

Recommended Body Soap For Dry Skin
My beautiful friend, Mercedes told me that she likes this cleansing body oil from Trader Joe’s. I couldn’t get it fast enough, especially when she said it’s good for dry, crepy skin! I like it!

Some good recommendations again. I’ve used the Trader Joe’s cleansing oil for a couple of years now, just in the winter when my skin is drier from having the heating on all the time. I love it, despite the name it does not feel greasy or oily.
Mary Ann Pickett says
Yes, Cathy, I bought it and like it, too!

Now that Season 1 of “All Creatures Great and Small” has concluded Sunday night TV is not the same. I am glad there will be a Season 2. Another good one we enjoyed was “Miss Scarlet and the Duke.”
Sheri Silver says
I’ve been dying to watch that Stanley Tucci series – I love him! And the throws and pillows look like the perfect springy-neutrals I need to get right now! Thank you so much for including me in today’s round up! xo

I’m always up for good shows on TV. I love Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy and have wanted to watch All Things Great and Small. I’m very curious about the Dennis Gross face peels, can’t wait to hear what you think about it. Is it a one months supply?
Very pretty colors for spring, I must get out and do some shopping. Always love your posts.

I am so sorry to read about your mom, it is so hard to watch our ailing parents in pain or suffer. I have her on my prayer list. I love these spring colors, and I am sure they will brighten any place. Thank you for sharing the soap and the tv shows!
Mary Ann Pickett says
Thanks, Elizabeth…it is hard to watch her in pain.

All Creatures Great and Small was a favorite set of books and I absolutely loved the new series. I watched it twice it was so uplifting and enjoyable. I’ve heard good things about the Tucci series but I fear I’ve missed so many episodes I’m too late to the party.
I’ll be eager to try the cleansing oil. Trader Joe’s does come up with some great cosmetic products, not to mention the amazing food finds.
Fun post, as always. Thank you.
Karen
Mary Ann Pickett says
I think you can pick up the Stanley Tucci episodes at any time, Karen.
Linda Fant says
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for your tv picks. Al Creatures… nostalgic, funny, wonderful characters, beautiful scenery wrapped up in a bow. Stanley Tucci can take me on a food tour ANYWHERE😍. Love the spring colors and their names, and you even threw in some goodies to make us look better! What else could we ask of a blog..Thanks❤️

I always enjoy your Sunday posts! My husband just finished watching All Creatures Great and Small on PBS. I only saw bits and pieces of it, he mostly was watching it on the TV in the kitchen doing paperwork for his job. It seemed like every episode I would come in the room for something and a poor cow was moaning in pain.:o( He really did like it though! Have you ever seen Last Tango in Halifax? Such a funny show and we were so excited they made a few more episodes last year after being on hiatus for a long time.
I might have to try that Trader Joe’s cleansing oil!
Hope you had a nice visit with your mom.
Linda
Mary Ann Pickett says
We loved Last Tango in Halifax, too, Linda.

From someone (me) who has never been to France, but hopes to someday, you just HAVE to watch an episode or two of Escape to the Chateau. It’s on our local PBS channel, but I’ve streamed back seasons through Peacock. I think since you’ve lived in Paris, you would definitely appreciate the French lifestyle and also how the Strawbridge family work to renovate their chateau. I’ve watched each show twice!
Mary Ann Pickett says
Thanks for the tip, Marilyn! I think Howard will like it too!
Patricia says
I am so sorry to hear about your sweet mother. Please tell her that I said a prayer for her, asking for healing, comfort, and less anxiousness from our Lord.
My husband never watches TV with me but he started the PBS new version of James Herriot and he is enjoying it with me. Hooray. Can’t wait for next season.
Mary Ann Pickett says
Thank you, Patricia…means a lot to me.
