Hello! Here are my Five Faves such as the fresh blue textured table setting that I created for dinner with my brother and sister-in-law (who are watching Chief) before we left. Also, resort wear from our Sitges boat trip. If you are following me on Instagram, you know that we were just in Madrid, Barcelona, and Sitges (on the Mediterranean Coast of Spain where we had our annual dress-up night).
The Pickett Family In Spanish Dress
Now we are in Cortona, Italy.
I will be posting about my Spain travel tips when I get back home. Incidentally, our daughter’s wedding in Madrid was one of my all-time most-read posts ever (and thank you for your sweet comments).
Annie and Cindy are also chiming in with their faves, too at the end of the post.
1. Blue Textured Table Setting
The placemats are from Pottery Barn…but it won’t let me access the site to provide a link while in Europe.
2. CP Shades Linen Tunic
My friend, Laura gave me this cool linen tunic. I’m wearing it with my friend Joy on the catamaran that we took off the coast of Barcelona. I don’t see th tunic on the website (although I saw it in the window in the Berkeley store). CP Shades Linen Tunics.
Here with are with Cathi and Netta…
3. Beach Espadrilles
Fashionable Netta (third from left above) had these espadrilles on the boat. Sea Star Beachwear Women’s Neoprene Beachcomber Espadrille Flat, water-friendly and quick-drying! Espadrilles were invented in Spain. So these fit right in!
Lots of colors! I want to order the white lacey ones.
4. How To Keep Your Plants Alive While On Vacation
I hope my plants are alive when I get back. I thought that this was a good article from House Beautiful.
5. Designing Your Own Invitations With Canva
I had fun playing with the design of the Madrid wedding invitations which we just emailed to the small group. There are tons of templates that you can make your own.
Here is one I did the night the girls cooked dinner in the Sitges villa. The grape photo was taken at a winery that we visited in the area.
Note: FBC means “Family By Choice.”
Let’s check out what Cindy and Annie have for us!
Wow!! That is such a good and original idea.
It’s been so much fun to follow your travels … especially the wedding! Love the blue and white table setting … glad Chief’s in good hands. xo
“SMART DRESS!”
HAVEN’t heard that expression in YEARS!!!!
LOOKS LIKE A GRAND GETAWAY!
It was cute how the men complied!
Mary Ann,
You guys look to be having such fun. I’ve enjoyed your posts…living vicariously.
Safe travels.
xo,
Karen
Thanks, Karen. It’s been fun.
What a fabulous wedding and festivities! So many memories being made. I really like the picture where the family is dressed in Spanish attire, especially your son and the gesture to his, I’m assuming, drawn on, mustache.
All best to the newlyweds…..what a start to married life!
My husband said that I looked like Minnie Mouse in that get-up. He’s probably right. Ha! I should have used all red roses on top of my head.
HI! I’m so enjoying your posts from Spain! But, today’s question is about your blue tablescape. While I love the placemats, I’m more curious as to where you purchased your lovely table runner. It’s the perfect shade for my dining room. Thanks!
I bought the runner at West Elm. Hope it’s still there. Thanks!
