Just a short post…This was our first morning in England. We woke up early to go to the Borough Market in London.
We bought lots of fresh vegetables, cheeses and fish for dinner tomorrow night at our friend’s, Lisa and Jim’s home.
Isn’t the produce amazing? And they give out free samples…ha! almost like Costco 🙂
We also bought some of these cute little bowls by artist,
Richard Bramble to take back to our hostess.
Tonight is her birthday party.
SO jealous… haven't made it to that market yet – we never seem to be there on the right day!! Guess that means I am just going to have to make a return visit!!
Oh, how beautiful the produce looks! Why does everything look better abroad? Have fun in London!
Mary Ann- how fun, we are so close (yet so far, I'm 2 hours away from London). Looks like you guys are making the most of it! Have a lovely time!! Xox Linda
so jealous, I have a bit of an obsession with London. Have fun!
I could almost reach in and grab that yummy produce!! Looks like a lot of fun so far, enjoy and safe travels. Haven't been around much but making my "rounds"…so nice to be back in blogland!~
Mary Ann-
The farmers market is fabulous. Oh to have so many beautiful vegetables!
I love the little bowls. Great choice on your part for a gift.
Have a great time!

Had to laugh when you said they gave out samples like Costco! The word "samples" is the ONLY thing those two have in common. Such beautiful produce! And those bowls…"to die for". Saw on the news today about all the rain in England. Hope you brought your party umbrella, but I'll also hope for clear skies for the rest of your trip!
Have a great trip. I hope you have your umbrella because I saw that they are having lots and lots of rain. I would like to suggest that you have tea at the Brown Hotel. It's very elegant and old school. It's where Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt had their honeymoon.
the bowls are just to die for!!!
this all looks like too much fun!

Having experienced the lack of salads and fresh vegetables in England years ago, I am delighted to see this gorgeous array!
Love the bowls! Can't wait to hear of the birthday spectacular and the fashion report!!!

Gorgeous produce! esp the figs. There's just nothing like an open air market with fresh goods.
How fun, and the bowls are fantastic. Can't wait to see what you bring home for yourself.
The produce looks fantastic. Enjoy your party

Fun fun. I have never been to London except to lay over at the airport on the way to Italy one time.
Love the veggie display and what beautiful bowls!
How lovely! This makes me want to re-wind my day, and head directly to the Saturday Market for tomatoes, beans and berries. Hope the party was wonderful!
Those pink beans!
Perfect bowls.
Cheers!

So much fun! Have a wonderful trip!
