Crisp Vegetable Salad With Feta And Garlic Shrimp Skewers

Welcome to a Main Dish Summer Salad Party with my friends giving us their favorite recipes (links at the end of the post). I’m sharing a Greek Vegetable Salad With Feta And Garlic Shrimp Skewers.

If you are new here, we recently moved from a high-rise apartment in San Francisco to a home with a garden in the small beach community of Atlantic Beach, Florida. Now that we can grill outside, we are enjoying eating outside, too!

Vegetable Salad With Feta And Garlic Shrimp Skewers

We had this delicious stacked Greek salad on a trip to Mykonos a few years ago. I’ve been making it ever since. Here is the recipe. It has tomatoes, peppers, onions, feta cheese, olives, capers and good olive oil.

Garlic Shrimp Skewers

This is a fairly quick dinner to make, especially if you marinate the shrimp beforehand. While I was layering the salad, Howard was briefly grilling the shrimp (2 to 3 minutes per side). I found the recipe on Pinterest from “Dinner At The Zoo.”

Might I ask where I could find the candle holders and the round plate/dish holding the shells on the table?

    1. The candle holders are from Serena and lily. The basket was from Crate and Barrel I think. But check out Homegoods.

  2. Dinner looks terrific!
Re. not missing once-in-a lifetime events: so true, Mary Ann, and I’m sorry you missed Howard’s retirement party! We were building our home and I felt too busy to stop and travel to the West Coast to attend a memorial event for a dear friend who was like a second father to me, and I have regretted it ever since…
Have you used Rover.com? It is a pet care marketplace website that helps you locate pet services: boarding, sitting, walking, etc. You likely would find people in Jacksonville that would be available, if not Atlantic Beach.

    1. So true, Joan. We are using Rover for our trip coming up to Europe…but she was out-of-town last week. Thanks so much for commenting.

    2. Oh thanks so much for this comment. We are using Rover for when we go to Europe but she was on vacation last week.

  3. Mary Ann,
This looks delicious. I’m ready for some outdoor cooking. Have a great vacation.

  4. my sister mentioned her moving to Florida when she retires in a few years…I told her my friend just moved to Atlantic Beach so she should look there. 😉 I’m so excited about your move there!

  6. Mary Ann this looks so good … and Howard’s shrimp skewer takes it over the top. So fun to see you enjoying outdoor living again in your fabulous new home. Al fresco dining, at home, is one of life’s simple pleasures. This looks so good and I’m pinning and printing right now. Hey, Jim, guess what you’re grilling for dinner! xo
