Today, I want to show you some warm weather linen outfits for women. Linen is a great fabric choice for hot temperatures due to its breathability and comfort. These casual outfits can help you stay cool and fashionable in the heat.
My friends Cindy, Annie and Sherry are joining me today to showcase their Spring Fashion favorites, too!
Linen Tops And Bottoms
Mix and match linen shirts with linen pants to create stylish outfits with versatility. This one below makes me feel like a coastal grandma…but I am one!
The cropped loose sand colored pants are cool and comfortable. The linen top (it comes in lots of pretty colors like dusty blue, light gray, pinstripe blue, sandy beige, olive ($35), polarized sunglasses ($50) and quilted Italian leather crossbody ($130) are by Quince with Madewell woven ballet flats. I am wearing it with a camisole/bra from Amazon ($19). My sister told me about these and I have several.
This ensemble below was created by adding a white Gap tee under a J. Jill cobalt blue blouse worn like a jacket and matching easy pants.
It’s a relaxed fit that is easy to wear. And it seems the more wrinkles it gets, the more compliments I get!
Classic Comfort Linen Dresses
This Faherty navy blue dress can be worn on casual days or out to dinner. It’s made from a textured high-quality linen that reminds me of denim chambray and can be worn just as easily. It comes in cream too.
Styling Tips
- Accessorize with natural materials like straw hats, woven bags, and wooden/bone jewelry to complement the organic feel of linen.
- Opt for lightweight and breathable footwear such as sandals or woven leather ballet shoes to complete your warm weather linen outfit.
Madewell woven ballet flats • cork wedge sandals from Nordstrom Rack–originally seen on Make Mine A Spritzer • Nisolo block heeled nude sandals (these go with anything and are slightly dressier)
Maintaining Your Women’s Linen Clothing
To keep your linen outfits looking fresh and crisp throughout the Spring and Summer:
- Wash linen garments in cold water and air dry them to prevent shrinkage.
- Iron or steam linen clothing while slightly damp to maintain its smooth texture. You may find that by steaming your linen, you don’t need to wash your linen garments after every wear. I use this well-rated Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam Handheld Garment Steamer.
- Store linen items in a cool, dry place to avoid wrinkles and preserve their quality.
Cotton Breathable “French-girl” Wrap Dress
Although not made of linen, this organic cotton dress from Sezane is a great choice. Wrap dresses are flattering on many silhouettes. It came with a cute cotton tote as a surprise. I’m wearing a medium, and it’s a little loose but comfortable that way. At 5’1″ it’s more of a maxi on me but would be cute shorter on a taller person.
You can elevate your summer wardrobe while staying comfortable and stylish with breathable women’s linen clothes.

Mary Ann, You look so cute in all these! I really adore the wrap dress on you. So pretty. It’s a great idea using the blue set like a jacket too.
You’re the chicest coastal grandma . xo

Hi Mary Ann,
All the looks are so cute on you. I really like the Pippa wrap dress-but I’m holding myself back and not buying it because sometimes I end up buying too many things and then not wearing them. I am not far from you in Florida. The weather still hasn’t been quite as warm as I thought it would be although I’ve noticed it was getting warmer yesterday. I haven’t been able to wear a lot of the I brought for hotter weather. Oh well, maybe it’ll change in the next week or so.!

I love the J Jill separates, but when I went to their site they were not on sale. It appears only their “wearever” collection is on sale. Rats!
Mary Ann Pickett says
Oh shoot, Susan…it was before. I will change the post but I paid full price last week.

Hi Mary Ann
My favorite outfit is the Quince top with the J Jill pants. Such a classic flattering look on you. Hilarious that we both chose the blue from J Jill. I thought it was such a pretty color even though I rarely wear blue. It looks much prettier on you with your blond hair!!

MA – that Sezane dress is amazing on you! I may need it too. Love the easy breeziness of linen. xo
Mary Ann Pickett says
I love the wedge sandals you found, Juliet.
Jennifer says
You look fabulous Mary Ann! I adore linen.
Mary Ann Pickett says
Thanks, Jennifer, me too!
Rose says
Love all your outfits Mary Ann, especially the first two. Would you mind sharing your sizes purchased for the 4 items? If you had a nude bra under the white cropped top would it be see through? Did you cuff the blue pants or is that how it comes? Thank you
Mary Ann Pickett says
Rose, all the J.Jill linen items are in a Petite small and the Quince white linen top is a small. You would be fine with a nude bra but I just like wearing the white camisole/bra with white tops.
NCSue says
Love your warm weather choices! What size are you in the first pair of pants? Petite or Reg, S or M?
Mary Ann Pickett says
The first pants are a petite small. Usually in petites I am a medium but not always at J. Jill.
