Classic Casual Fall Fashion and Ageless Style

Classic Casual Fall Fashion is for women over 50 seeking a classic yet comfortable “pulled together” look. Many of the clothes I wear can be found in petite sizes (since I am 5’1″ tall) and regular sizes.

This fashion post is one of my most popular posts, so I have updated it with some new photos and links. This started a few years ago when Cindy Hattersley interviewed me for her series “Ageless Style.”

Recently, we moved from the city (San Francisco) to the beach in Jacksonville, Florida. We travel to California often to see family. So these clothes work in a variety of situations.

This dress comes in lots of colors. As it gets cooler, I will wear it with flats or booties and a cardigan.

This outfit is a few years old…but still in style…which is why I prefer “classic and casual.”

Here are two more examples of a classic look. The items are no longer available except for the ballet flats.

The classic ballerina Chanel flats were a 60th birthday present from my mom.

  1. Love the style and combinations. Little bit taller but I love the combinations.

  2. I love your all style.

  3. Mary Ann!!! I’m so glad I found you! I subscribed pretty recently and tonight I was just tooling around catching up on fashion blogs etc. and came upon this Aug. 27th post. I love it and the reason I’m glad I “found you” is because, I just read that you are 5’1″! I’m 5’2″ and am always searching for styling ideas. I love everything in this post.
I’m traveling next week and looking for ideas. This post is really helping. I look forward to reading more and seeing more of your style.
What a nice gift from your mom too! Loved reading that about the Chanel ballet flats.

  4. Love all of your outfits! Love the tan slip-ons with the tassels, where did you find them? I’m heading to Carmel for the first time in many years and trying to decide what to pack! Love that I found your blog!

I love the linen pleated top that you have on in the picture with the Chanel flats.
Can you share where it’s from?
    Thanks,
    Nancy

    1. That blouse was from Tancredi and Morgan in Carmel, CA…but she isn’t making them anymore.

Very nice quality clothes but, one problem.
Can’t wear these because they are neutrals.
    I need color!

Love the floral print shirt, I think the link is wrong though! Love your style!

  9. Connie Walsh says:

Where did you get the khaki colored shirt? And the necklace?

    1. Tancredi and Morgan in Carmel and my daughter made the necklace for me several years ago…from beads from a bead store in Laguna Beach.

Love the bag in the first section #7. What brand is it?

  11. You and I have the same taste! I bet someday when we meet there is a chance that we will be dressed the same:)
