When my husband, Howard asked me if I wanted to accompany him on a work trip to the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, California…I thought “shoot, I’m so busy. I’ve got to get the taxes ready for our meeting with the accountant, Howard will be working…and it’s not beach weather.” He said, “But it’s a nice resort and I think you will like it.”
Boy, am I glad I said yes! I got to the resort after dark (I had been helping our son, Tommy decorate his new apartment)…so this was a surprise in the morning when I opened the hotel room’s curtains to this…
Terranea
Just after coffee,
Oceanside Walk
Imagine the salt air and waves crashing…
We’ve had so much rain in California, that this sunshine brings lots of happiness.
A little to cool to be out at one of the Terrenea Resort’s many pools. But still gorgeous and reminded me of our Bondi Beach, Australia trip.
This area used to be where the former Marineland was…that I remember from my childhood. Loving the indigenous agave plants.
So…back to the room to work on the taxes…
Terranea Hotel Room
So hard to focus. I like the color of that navy accent wall. I wonder what shade it is?
Naturally, I tried to center the sofa under the art but it weighs about a thousand pounds. Do you ever arrange hotel furniture?
Let’s find out the wall color on the Sherwin Williams Color Snap app. Well, it might be similar to SW Anchors Away.
Cute powder room. I’m enjoying suspended vanities.
Taxes are done, so…
Relaxzzzz
Fresh Watermelon Margarita with Tequila, Puréed Watermelon,
Fresh Lime Juice and Rimmed with Tajin Salt
I could wear these comfy leather shoes every day. Good price.
Next time Howard asks me to go with him and I hesitate…please remind me of this.

Hey when Howard says go go!!! He stays at the best places! Looks like such a fun break…and this was work!!
I am so happy that you went on the trip! This resort is so beautiful! I am in love with the rooms and those sconces are fabulous.
Thanks, Elizabeth.
When you are older, you will say, “I should have gone every time I had the chance!”
Lovely hotel and grounds. Sadly, it is located in LA area -it is just too hard to negotiate the horrendous freeways and traffic to get there from AZ!
Love your blog!
Yes…there was traffic to get there…but worth it!
MARINE WORLD DOWN THERE??I only remember the one in Redwood City that than moved to VALLEJO!
Never say NO when HUBBY INVITES YOU!!!!!!!!
TAXES CAN WAIT!!!!!!
