Baby’s Nursery Inspired By Travel

December 31, 2020 By Mary Ann Pickett 19 Comments

New parents, Jackie and Zach have enjoyed traveling the world together. For their baby’s nursery, we thought décor inspired by travel would be a fun way to decorate his room. A world map, Zach’s travel photos of animals, a travel mobile were a few of the accessories that we used in baby Max’s room.

Olive Green Crib and Dresser/Changing Table

The olive green crib and dresser/changing table is a fresh color in a baby’s room.

Travel Photos As Wall Art

I love that we could use Zach’s photos in Max’s room! The faux olive tree adds some whimsey as does the llama rocking horse.

Industrial Book Shelves

We had purchased these industrial bookshelves for the kitchen in their previous home…and they work well here, too.

They were really fun to style with baskets, books, and toys.

Handed Down Children’s Books

Zach’s mom saved his books and now he can read them to Max!

Maxwell’s Family

Here Max’s beautiful family! The little plush toy on the chair with Jackie is actually their real-life pup. I wonder what she is thinking since until recently, she was an only child 🙂

Welcome to the world, Max! You made 2020 so much brighter!

And that’s a Baby’s Nursery Inspired By Travel. Thank you Jackie and Zach for letting me share this!

I absolutely love the travel-inspired theme for the nursery! It brings such a unique and personal touch to the space. The use of maps and travel memorabilia is both creative and sentimental. Can’t wait to incorporate some of these elements into my own baby’s room!

What a delightful and charming nursery! I love how you’ve incorporated travel themes while keeping it cozy and inviting. The vintage suitcases and world map accents are such thoughtful touches. It’s inspiring to see how you can create a space that reflects your love for adventure while nurturing your little one. Can’t wait to try some of these ideas in my own baby’s room!

    Hi Mary Ann,
What a lovely refreshing nursery! So calming and not a primary color or Disney character in sight! (Not that there’s anything wrong with that!) I love the idea of using Dad’s photos, such a nice personal touch. Those shelves are fabulous!
I just got an email from a dear friend announcing the birth of their 3rd grandchild today at 10:30 this morning. What a great way to end the year!
I’m really glad we were able to meet in person this year, and look forward to seeing you again sometime!
I hope you will have a fun New Year’s Eve, here’s to a bright new year and all the best to you and yours in 2021!
    XO Heidi
