Here are Autumn and Thanksgiving Decor Ideas that our family traditionally enjoys. These include our enameled pumpkin pot for hearty soups, faux Fall leaves and pumpkins. The only new decor items are fresh candles to add to existing battery-operated ones. And Fall scenes as a screensaver on our television makes things especially cozy.
It’s Five Faves time with Cindy and Annie! This time it’s my favorite Thanksgiving decor ideas, a comfortable yet pulled-together Fall outfit, and more!
1. Faux Fall Leaves
I love the look of real Fall branches, just not the mess. I bought these colorful branches last year (already had the twigs) and stored them in a plastic tub in the garage with other Autumn decor.

2. Enameled Pumpkin Pot
This enameled pot by Staub was worth the investment. We bring it out every year and use it during October and November. It’s great for soups and stews.
The orange gives a pop of color to the neutral background.

3. Autumn And/Or Thanksgiving Table Setting
This tablescape with texture can last through Thanksgiving. The blue stoneware shallow dishes are on sale right now. We don’t iron the table linens for a more relaxed feel.

4. Fall Candles, Scented And Battery Operated On The Mantel
I filled the bottoms of tall hurricane candles (bought when we lived in Paris 22 years ago) with the little pumpkin pods that I pullout every Fall.
The battery-operated flicker candles are set to come on each evening.
The great smelling amber Fall candle is on sale. The wax is self-consuming. It’s good quality. “Scent notes includes: Palo Santo, vetiver, incense, vanilla, patchouli and amber.”
Thanksgiving Decor Ideas To Set The Mood: Fall YouTube on the Television
Your guests can listen to this soothing music or put the television on mute and put your own party tunes on your speakers. Wouldn’t this be nice to have on during Thanksgiving dinner?
5. Autumn Outfit Of The Week
This dress is on backorder but I ordered it anyway and it says it will be here in six days. It’s a flattering fit. I ordered it a size up to be a little looser around my middle.
The Eileen Fisher blazer/jacket is a bit pricey but it’s a classic that will dress up jeans or any outfit. I love that it is unlined so more comfortable than a structured blazer but still looks sharp. I ordered a Petite small. It covers my rear and is washable!

Mary Ann! I love your fall touches! Your branches always look so real! And your pumpkin on the stove!…perfect! Love your table too!
Xx
Mary Ann, Love your fall touches. The table looks great. I have pumpkins in a tureen too. The outfit is great. That handbag is a great one ! I love Madewell.. You are so smart with the battery candles. I love that they just come on. I need to order some for inside! I have them on the outside and love the timer. xo
I love the title of this post. At our age, we do not need to change everything every year. We have things we love and we enjoy bringing them out every year. I like to change out a pillow cover, or a throw, or maybe make a new wreath. This is a great post about enjoying our treasures and the excitement of getting them out every year.
Great inspiration! Cool and rainy weekend in San Diego county which has me thinking of autumn. Can you source those beautiful pillows on your couch? (second image). Thanks and here’s to fall y’all …..
Lot’s of inspiration here, MA. I can smell the turkey roasting. Your tall hurricanes from France are amazing. Time for me to get out to the garage and start rummaging through my fall bins. xo
Beautiful ideas to bring fall into your home. Sometimes it’s hard to get into the autumn mode living in Los Angeles and having some of our warmest weather in October, but I love bringing fall color in to each room, it makes me happy! Thanks for the great inspiration.
I love real candles too but the battery operated ones are fantastic, esp for hard to reach spots and people (ahem) who forget to blow them out! I have them on timers too and they come on automatically at dusk and turn off at night. The Threshold ones from Target are very good and they all respond to the same remote. I use them in large hurricanes on the front porch amongst the pumpkins also.
Love your blog, thx!
Happy Sunday Mary Ann!
Love your Thanksgiving outfit! It is going to look beautiful.
All of your touches of Fall are classy, subtle and beautiful. I have pondered the pumpkin pot many times but we have so much cookware and enamel. Maybe this year I will just do it.
Have a great day!
