Lots of people are feeling isolated and lonely (including perhaps your mom–and Mother’s Day is coming), so here are seven sweet ways to show friends or your mom you care.
A Personalized Note
Send them a Touchnote card with photos of times when you were together. I just sent this postcard to my sister…
See how you can even personalize the stamp (our dogs).
French Liquid Hand Soap
How about sending this $28 Savon de Marseilles since we are ALL using it more. I like the graphic design.
Good Hand Cream Shows You Care
L’Occitane is my favorite hand lotion with shea butter (purse-sized for $12…comes large size, too for $29). Free shipping and you can add a message to say that you are just thinking of them. Are your hands as dry as mine?
A Real Phone Call
Yesterday Stacey, in Florida, called and so did Debbie in SoCal…and I hung up feeling 10 times happier after talking to those friends!!
Calming Candle
I love this fresh aromatic candle by Votivo for $28.
Delish Draft Latte
For $9.99 you can send your coffee drinking pals four of these rich and delicious iced coffees. You can also pick them up at Trader Joe’s. Our son, Tommy bought them and they are frothy and indulgent for 100 calories. We split one (50 calories) on ice…otherwise, with three espresso shots, I would be bouncing off the walls.
Cute Bandana
A little bandana can make a tee shirt and jeans feel pulled together even in isolation. These are $12.99 from Madewell
Those are seven “Sweet Ways To Show Friends or Mom You Care.”
bandanas • coffee • hand lotion • Liquid Soap • candle
And I care about YOU! Wishing you good health.
Love those postcards. I am going to do that!! I seriously would take one of everything on your list. I think those votivo candles are such a great buy. They were one of the originals and are still one of my favs. I love that one and the red current. I also love that they keep it simple so it goes in any room!
Great ideas, Mary Ann! Looks like I’ll be making cards today! 😉
Such cute ideas! I think I will send my daughter the hand lotion. And I might as well get one for myself, right? She says she has been washing her hands a lot. I haven the yellow bandana from Madewell and it pairs perfectly with a navy and white knit dress from a JCrew.
That sounds like such a cute outfit, Mary Ellen.
Such great gifts to tell someone you’re thinking of them and you love them which at this unusual time is so needed and appreciated. Sending you a big hug!
You are so sweet, Gail…we need to catch up!
