Everyone sticking to their New Years resolutions?? My goal is to wake up every morning with a grateful heart and to take a moment to thank God. So far, so good.
I also want to lose some weight…that’s harder. Howard and I are on a healthy eating kick and no wine 🙁 for a few weeks. He has already lost twice as much as I have. Naturally. At least we don’t have fattening food in the house to tempt me.
BUT…I have a new temptation when I visit the East Bay. My client, had been telling me that I would like Elsie Green House and Home…and she was right!
It’s a warehouse filled with French flea market finds! Like a cheap trip to France and you don’t have to figure out how to get your treasures home.
Wouldn’t this little trailer be sweet in a garden as a studio? And why do string lights make everything more fun?
Inside you could enjoy a pain au chocolat and café au lait.
Or some red wine and fromage…and a warm baguette. I think I need a carrot stick or two.
They have a lot of polished flatware…so pretty. They instructed me how they keep it shiny …coming up.
Look what I bought…
The pottery is here for now…
I polished all our flatware and my Mom’s this way! So then I went on to small pieces of silver.
It’s easier if it’s completely submerged…but I just rotated that little sterling silver pitcher in the water. Try this method and tell me what you think!

Loved this post!!! I could spend hours in that shop – think you showed great restraint in your purchases. Yesterday I dug out some jewelry to be repaired and several of the silver necklaces really need to be cleaned. And my silver really needs work. I was going to search Martha Stewart’s site, but here you are with great — and easy — advice. Thank you! (Yes, I would add a basket to the left-hand shelf.)
