St. Frank, Ethnic Prints and Embroidery

The cast on my leg and crutches have kept me mostly housebound.  I am healing but there is the pain and inconvenience plus, I am missing my cousin’s wedding and a little NYC get-away with family (including  Hamilton tickets)…  Yes, I am feeling sorry for myself.  I will just snap out of it with one of my favorite topics…TEXTILES.

Liana sent me these shots (I love that girl) and told me about the St. Frank’s store opening on Sacramento St. here in San Francisco.

So, before the accident…I ran over there.

In addition to their own fabric line, they have handcrafted textiles by artisans from around the world.

Isn’t that great wallpaper in their restroom (it’s for sale)?  Beautiful framed child’s ikat coat, too.

Notice the detailed Mayan embroidered collar made into a pillow.
Similar to what I purchased on our Mexico trip…  hand embroidered.

Along with the quilt that Howard brought back from his last trip to India.  He is in Delhi now (please don’t forget the batik cotton napkins, Howard).

One last thing along the ethnic fabric lines… when I was at Juxtaposition Home a couple weeks ago…
I loved how they made this indigo fabric into long lumbars with sand linen on the reverse.
And aren’t these colorful cotton tassels a nice touch?
Hope you are having a wonderful day!!  Mine is better already.
Thanks for visiting.
