This is a new vignette in my living room using natural coral.
The leaf shaped coral reminds me of
the cabbage that we planted as ground covering
in the front of the house…
I’ve been adding the leaves to grocery store tulips
for Spring bouquets.
These rub on decals were in the dollar section at Target…
Alie made the tie-dyed eggs and I did the personalization.
We used some as place cards last night for
A little humming bird stopped by for a bath in the
French trough fountain just before dinner.
Tina, from The Enchanted Home
was kind enough to include me in her,
Bloggers’ Beautiful Abodes series.

Marianne, It is always a pleasure to see what you create! Love the little monogrammed eggs, very fun and festive. Ornamental cabbage is so pretty, I plant it every year at our home too. I just pulled my fading plants out and next will go in the impatiens. I love Spring and I always love seeing your home,
Happy Monday!

I love how you added the cabbage plant leaves to the tulips. Stealing that one.
Well no wonder that you are part of a "Beautiful Abodes" series!! Yours is one of my favorite homes in the blogosphere {and probably world, for that matter :)} Love the little vignettes you create – so pretty! And cute idea on the eggs – I'll have to remember that one this year.
Mary Ann, Today is everyone's lucky day! TWO fabulous posts to swoon over! First, your post today with the prettiest spring/Easter ideas that have inspired me to head straight to the nursery, to Target and Trader Joe's. Your table settings are
delicious and fun. I revisited your "French Trough Fountain" post and what a difference two years makes. The plantings have grown and the little touches you've added have made it a beautiful focal point in your patio. Then the added bonus of guest posting for Tina's "The Enchanted Home" blog, I'm in heaven! You might think that we're getting tired of seeing your home and the things you do to make it so lovely, but Mary Ann….you would be wrong! I could look at it everyday….all day and it would never get boring! OK….I'm starting to sound a little like a stalker!! Thank you for brightening my day and have a beautiful Easter.
So enjoyed your guest post over at The Enchanted Home. I love your style and have "pinned" a lot of your home to my Pinterest boards. I do have a few questions, if you wouldn't mind sharing. What is the source for your living room chandelier and dimensions? I have my eye on a similar one for our great room in our beach cottage style home, but don't know which size is best. Whichever size yours is would look like it would work. Thanks for being such an incredible inspiration! Wish you lived in Florida! Best, Beth C.
Mary Ann you have talent all over the place, homes and now Easter eggs and flowers…stop it!…lol. I loved seeing your whole house over at Tina's you are so very, very talented!

Honestly, Mary Ann your creativity knows no bounds! I have always loved that ornamental cabbage and it looks gorgeous with the tulips! Cute idea as well for decorating eggs – now that the boys are older I haven't decorated eggs in forever – hmmm…. maybe a Friday project – thanks for the inspiration!!
did you plant your ornamental cabbage in the sun or shade? I have three waiting to be planted…
They get morning sun and afternoon shade. Hope this helps.
your HOME featured on your friends blog was so beautiful. also, LOVE your original idea for the easter egg decor. thanks for sharing!
Mary Ann, every time your home is featured I'll be sure to take the tour one more time. You have such a beautiful home , lovely details all throughout.. lots of eye candy! Thanks for sharing!
As always Mary Ann, your spring decorating touches are so pretty. Love the cabbage plants! They look so cool…and love how you've used the leaves with your tulips…very clever 🙂

Mary Ann,
I enjoyed the tour and discussion on tips for decorating, over at Tina's Enchanted Home. The ornamental cabbage in green and white is a favorite. I liked the way you used it in a vase with tulips.
Happy Spring.
Karen

I am so impressed that you put the leaves in the store bought flowers. What a great idea and way to keep using them. Although, you probably still have a few outdoor months left on them, I would guess. The letter on the egg was just the sweetest touch.
Loved you guest post at Tina's! Your home is wonderful and so inviting! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I love the spring additions to your beautiful home! And congratulations on the blog feature. I love Tina's blog and sweet personality.
Hi Mary Ann,
The pics of your home in Tina's blog are wonderful…never knew your kitchen island was a different color! Love it! And she is right, you are so lucky to live in a place with gorgeous weather and walking/riding distance to the beach 🙂

Hello Mary Ann,
I so enjoyed the post on your beautiful home, over at Tina's blog 'The Enchanted Home'! Love this post and all your gorgeous decorations. I adore 'Ornamental Cabbages' and have planted them in large pots on my terrace….but hadn't thought of combining them with flowers for indoors – stunning!
Have a Happy Easter…..

That vignette is so pretty – the coral is a special piece but I really love the green that is picked up in the small stack of books.
Hi Mary Ann…Its always fun to see your creative and beautiful home…I love the coral pieces…I have them all over my home…
Enjoyed your guest post at Enchanted Home. You have done such a great job in your home, I love how you kept everything neutral and added accents, great ideas~
how lucky were you to capture the hummingbird in flight!
Hi Mary Ann! I saw your post over at The Enchanted Home… and I just love your home! I live over in L.A. and every summer I head over to the tip of Balboa! I fell in love with My Hub 7 years ago at Jetty park, he took me there on one our first dates. Such a wonderful place to live… One day I'll buy a beach house there. Its so fun to see all the changes that have happened over the years. I almost feel like a local when I'm there. Have a great day and thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
That is a lovely vignette
and your table setting outdoors looks so beautiful.
Your eggs are lovely too.
That looks so amazing. The outdoor settings look gorgeous. I'm so happy spring is finally here. I just bought this gorgeous victorian manor mansion birdhouse that I got from http://www.worldtohome.com/victorian-manor-mansion-birdhouse.aspx to put in my garden a few weeks ago. I think it's so stunning and so perfect for this weather.
Great post man! I always follow your blog because it is full of compelling information about various things. I like to read this post because I met so many new facts about it actually. It's really great that I noticed this post.
