Simple Kitchen Update: Pendant Over The Sink

When Kim asked for a color to paint her walls in her kitchen, I took a look at the existing green granite that we were keeping to get some clues. I thought while we had the painter and tiler here in other parts of the house… How about a simple kitchen update?

New Monarch wood floors, too.

I didn’t take before photos of this room except for this backsplash…

We changed it to a hand fired crackle finish grey green subway tile (nice with the granite) from Home Depot.

New Pendant Light Over The Sink

Where there had previously been a recessed light, I suggested a Limoges pendant by Suzanne Kasler to make a statement over the sink.

You can see Kim’s living room and dining room makeovers here and here.

Here’s another pretty pendant over a sink.

Mary Ann, as usual it’s a hit. Do you know if the painters sprayed the cabinets or brushed them? I’m redoing an old house and I’m trying to decide of a pendant or rececessed light over the sink–I think something like this with a hit of brass in it. Thanks

  4. What a great way to update and brighten Kim’s kitchen. The back splash looks amazing and the pendant is a great statement piece for the kitchen.
Enjoy the upcoming New Year, may 2019 be a great year for us all.
