When I was in San Diego recently, I asked my sister’s friend and work associate, Linda, if she had any good tips for my Sunday Faves. She always has good advice and she said “Ha! Yes, I can think of a few things to help erase 2020!” Like a great makeup remover, wrinkle help, stain remover, and more.
I also added a fun stocking stuffer gift guide (and everything is $15 or less like the mug below).
Linda Davis’ Top FIVE Ways to Erase Things From 2020
Linda is multi-faceted. I asked my sister for a little of Linda’s background and it was five pages long. Suffice it to say that she is very creative and organized. Her career includes advertising account management, video production, live television as a producer, and on-air talent…and she was even a school teacher.
So she knows about erasers. 🙂
There are some affiliate links and no extra charge to you. Thank you.
Here’s Linda…
Makeup Eraser
Makeup Eraser works like a charm to erase all makeup! Truly takes the place of the disposable makeup wipes — saves money and the environment. Follow first use washing instructions and always wash without fabric softener. They last forever and I can’t imagine living without one. There are imitations – I have only used the original.
Erase Aging Skin With Exfoliation
I believe in exfoliation! These are two of my favorite exfoliation products. One is very affordable and the other is definitely a splurge! But I LOVE them both.
The Ordinary AHA/BHA is a once-weekly “peeling solution” but don’t be afraid of peeling skin! It doesn’t peel off your skin. Put the blood-red (yes, it looks crazy) solution on the skin, leave for 10 minutes max and your skin will feel so soft and fresh. It’s strong, it tingles but using it once a week really makes a difference!
Tatcha Rice Powder is the gold standard in innovative exfoliators. Based on Japanese secrets of the geishas it is a non-abrasive, fine rice powder that I use once a day. A little goes a long way to making my skin smoother. Very unique and lovely!
(Note from Mary Ann: Linda DOES have beautiful skin).
Erase The Quarantine Clothing Stains
Like your yoga pants, T-shirts, etc. with Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar.
This is the O.G. of stain removers. Old fashioned but lasts forever and works on more than just laundry! Doesn’t the packaging still look retro?!
Erase Unwanted Hair with This Painless, Waterproof Electric Ladies Shaver
Yes, I HAVE shaved my legs during quarantine! Shocker! But, my skin dries out and itches with regular shower shaving. This electric shaver really works, of course, not as close as a blade shave, but the first swipe had me hooked. It charges with a computer USB so it’s cordless, gentle, and effective.
Erase Dark Shadows and Bad Video On Your Video Calls
I used to teach online even before we all suddenly had to do all meetings online. Adding this external camera, the Logitech Brio, to my computer made the biggest difference in the world. It’s not cheap, but if you do a lot of online communication and can swing it, you’ll see an immediate difference in how you look online. This camera alone made my lighting look brighter and lighter. Magic!
Thanks, Linda, with all the stresses of 2020 (not to be belabored here–we all have them)…I could use these things! They are all new to me so I appreciate your sharing.

Let’s see what Cindy and Annie have in store for us!
Great ideas! Costco has the Original Make Up Eraser 14 day mini set with a laundry bag included for $22.99 now. It may not be available in all stores but it’s quite a bargain. I have the full size and a couple of minis so didn’t purchase the set yet, but have thought about it as it would be a good gift.
Wow…thanks for the tip!
I’m going to get a makeup eraser for myself and both of my daughters-in-law. Linda has some great finds for us. Thank her for me.

Mine just came!
👍 GREAT TIPS AND GIFTS!!
Love the suggestions thnak you Mary Ann. I have a question about the make up eraser…how many times do you wash it? I am imaging mascura and eye shadow on it from the day befor,e so do you wash it after every use? Does it hold up? Thank you!
Hi Francesca, Thanks for the question. Yes, they hold up beautifully. I rinse mine out after every use at the sink – always let it air dry. Then I toss them in the wash about once a week. I love the black one because it just looks better with mascara, but everything washes right out. Another interesting fact is the you’ll notice one side has a bit more “nap” to the fabric which helps with exfoliation – both sides work for makeup remover though.
And remember – wash before first use, don’t use fabric softener.
I hope you love it!
Great advice, Linda. I ordered the regular size for me in black. But I thought the mini one would be a good stocking stuffer and for travel.
recently rediscovered the good old fashioned stain remover too ,which works wonder. In my language it is called
“Kernseife” and not so elegantly packed.
That’s interesting…I’d better order that too!
I am going to order that makeup eraser right this very minute! It sounds like Linda knows her stuff!! I forgot all about the fels nafta too. Sometimes the old stand bys are the best! Loved all these helpful hints!
I just ordered the makeup eraser too…and it was an extra $3 off on Amazon for some reason!
I’m getting the make-up eraser for me and as stocking stuffers. Thanks, Linda.
Great idea Jennifer! They are great gifts. As I mentioned, there a quite a few imitations – I’ve only used the original so my advice would be to get that one. I KNOW it works! Have a wonderful day!
