Pretty Things and a Cupcake Tour
Carolyn got some new, cushy pillows (in Robert Allen United Vines and David Hicks cut velvet) for her classic sofa.
So, Carolyn toss out these little hard pillows…ok?
I like the little, solid colored, flat welt. Liana, the pillow master made them. And speaking of Liana…
How darling is this chair that she just had recovered? Great pillow, too. Even though she is in Southern California, we like to catch up on the telephone…about 20% business and 80% our own decor and personal stuff.
I totally want to copy this for someone or me.
I wish Liana and I were neighbors. She used to deliver pillows to my door in Newport Beach and when my daughter found out she said…”your pillow pusher makes home deliveries!”
My friends Debbie, Jen and I went on a walking SF Cupcake Tour on Saturday. It included five stops around the Marina and Pacific Heights. Very fun/decadent. We started at Kara’s Cakes (ok), then Susie Cakes (better)…

Next was Caffe´ Dolci (the best)…with a chocolate ganache cupcake with vanilla gelato center and your choice of gelato topping (I got the strawberry which was super strawberry-ish).
Then, we went to this cream puff place…which by then I was flying high on sugar and took it to-go (my husband likes them).
The tour ended at La Boulange on Union Street…which was a dud as they were out of most things. The tour was a once in a life-time treat. Next time, I would just split the Caffé Dolci dessert with someone.
But TODAY, Howard and I started a high fiber, low sugar, no processed food, low-fat, no white flour, no potatoes, no alcohol, lots of water…the usual common sense miserable diet. Sort of strict for 10 days and then modified. I am apologizing in advance if I am mean to anyone.
I took this photo the other day at a stop light on my way home.
It’s a whole new year!
