Oh What Fun! Three Things!

Hello, friends! We are in Southern California and here are some fun things that we have been up to that you may enjoy.

The Gift Of A Tough-To-Kill Plant

Our son, Tommy aka Thomas, got a recent promotion which means moving. I wanted him to have an easy to care for plant for his new office. Enter Roger’s Gardens and the ZZ plant.

Look at the fab cake they gave Tommy to share on his last day…

And here is Tommy with the finished plant (and the easy instructions to “give it about 1/2 cup of water once a week”).

Recently I went into my local library to get a library card…

Free Books To Read Online

With a library card, you can download/borrow free books to your phone, tablet or Kindle. I used the Libby app to download Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng for the long car drive from SF to SoCal. It would normally cost $12.99 for the e-reader version. If you like reading…make it a point to drop into your local library! I’m glad I finally got a library card.

Dominos

How about a fun activity that doesn’t involve electronics? When was the last time you played dominos? I bought a vintage set of Dominos on eBay but here is a nice new one, too. We are playing the game today.

Happy holidays from my family to yours…

We are in San Diego with our family. I set the table with things my sister already owned and mini pine cones that were on sale at Roger’s Gardens.

Who wants to straighten the star on top of my sister’s tree? Not me.

I wish you peace and love. See you back here in the new year. I appreciate YOU.

Kindly,

Mary Ann

Belated Merry Christmas Mary Ann! I bought my first ZZ plant at Roger’s Gardens years ago. They do well and are hard to kill haha. My husband and I have been using our library for years. Besides checking out books (I do not have a Kindle or Nook) I get most of my music there and download to my iTunes. What library is that in the photo? It’s beautiful!
