Neutrals and Good Things I Bought At Target

Here is my new, vintage Turkish rug that I told you I was getting…

We have a set of hotel type sheets that I bought at Restoration Hardware in white with black embroidery and I wanted another set.  So, I bought significantly less expensive Cotton Hotel Sheets from Target.  I like them!  I also purchased an extra set of pillow cases.  They come embroidered in different colors, too.

Another shot of the rug…  I like the worn vintage look and feel.  It came really clean.
Tell Murat at Splendid Rugs that I sent you.

Those are the curtain panels made and given to me by Liana.  She does a lot of nice things for me and lets me bounce decorating ideas off of her.  She mentioned that she is a fan of Astier de Villatte.
So, I brought back a dish from Paris for her (actually I crammed it into Howard’s luggage).  She’s using it for her reading glasses…
“Where did you get those glasses?  I think I am starting to need them!” :/  I asked.
Target was her answer.
They have a cute ones like these
Not being able to drive for two months due to the ankle injury and then being out of town…I really wanted to make a Target stop (and not just the online kind).  So, I ran over to the one in San Rafael, California.  Can you believe what a great view there is from the parking lot?!
I picked up a couple new dish towels (inspiring me to clean out the dish towel drawer).

Here are some cute things that I didn’t buy… notice the black and white theme..

I figure I am going to like just about anything Nate Berkus puts his name on!
This stool would be a nice little side drink table or
in a powder room with a pedestal sink for guest towels.  Sturdy, too.  I sat on it in Target.
With this rug.
I bought this little clay pot and it works well for Trader Joe’s orchids…

After I wrote this post, I noticed that Sherry Hart did a similar one.  Great minds!
You can check hers out here.
What a shocker to put on my new Target reading glasses this morning
…all those wrinkles!
This is not retouched or hair camera ready 🙂
But the glasses are good.

Happy Autumn!
