My ESSENTIAL Beauty Product Recommendations

Here are all my “tried and true” favorite products from department and drug stores.  My “mature” face needs some attention in the morning.  But being super lazy when it comes to putting on make-up, my routine needs to be fast (like five minutes fast) and effective.  Here’s what I’ve pared it down to for a regular day:

Here is why…

1. Tinted Moisturizer This evens out skin tone and provides sunscreen.
2.  Weightless Powder Foundation  Extra coverage on your nose and eek…age spots.
3.  Retouching Wand  This is awesome for brightening the eyes and covering dark circles.  I really need this…like if I was on a desert island and could only take one make-up item, this would be it. 
4.  Spend more on facial make-up, but not on Mascara.  I think this one from L’Oreal is good!
5.  Skip this if you are in a real hurry, otherwise it can make your eyes pop …Eyeliner.
6. Dior Sydney Lipstick is a splurge (nice packaging, too).  But I like 8. Maybelline Lipstick as well.  I have both in my purse.
7.  Instead of blush, a little of this Bronzer on your cheeks, forehead and a touch on your nose can wake up your face.  
There…finished and that was fast!

 

 

 

Seems my skin is dryer the older I get and moisturizer is key.  Here are other products that I recommend for everyday…



 1.  Renergie Lifting Cream This is expensive but worth it.  Day time (with sunscreen) and night time lotions.  Use sparingly.  I got this combo for Christmas and I am just now more than half way through the jars.

2.  Forever and Ever Dior  Has a fresh, floral scent.
3.  My mom gave me this Frizz Defy Hair Spray.  I don’t use a lot of product on my hair…but this is perfect.  Still touchable.  I just ran out and thank God for Amazon Prime.
4.  Lubriderm with Suncreen is a great lotion for the whole family.
5.  OPI Nail Strengthener and Cotton Candy  Use these two polishes to prolong your natural, healthy looking manicure.

1.  Facial Exfoliant  This is a gentle exfoliant that makes my skin noticeably healthier looking.  I use it while the conditioner is on my hair in the shower.
2.  Boy, I miss these when I run out.  They work well and saves getting mascara/makeup on your towels.   Make-up wipes.
3.  Teeth Whitening Strips  Why not?
4.  Gold Bond  If your feet or hands are super dry…try this.  My husband likes it, too.
