Maximizing A Guest Room–Blue and White Before and After
When Melina’s son left for college, we had the opportunity to fix up his room. While keeping it masculine, it also serves as a guest room now.
First, the walls were painted Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.
Her son helped pick out the Filmore upholstered bed from Pottery Barn.
It’s a small room but we managed to get a queen sized bed in here (he is a tall man now) with two campaign style end tables.
The swing arm sconces (easy to install since they are not hardwired) free up table space to display their son’s mementos. The bed linens by Tommy Hilfiger are on sale at Macy’s.
He won’t be studying much at home anymore so we replaced the desk with a tall dresser in black. And now he also has a place to put on his shoes… love this compact tufted chair.
Melina’s son likes coming home to his comfortable new room.
Also at Melina’s house…her pillows arrived for her dining room host chairs. This Ralph Lauren La Garoupe linen is gorgeous.
