Inside Classic, Fresh Coastal Florida Beach Homes

Last weekend, Mercedes and I went on the annual local Beaches Tour of Homes. I wanted to give you the highlights of the fresh coastal Florida beach home interiors along with other good things on my radar like a great book. It’s Sunday Faves time with Annie and Cindy.

Touring Fresh Coastal Florida Beach Homes

This is a fundraiser for the Beaches Town Center Agency projects. We had a great time touring around 8 homes on our golf cart.

We saw pretty wallpapers and texture.

Isn’t this calming?

Biom Refillable Dispenser And Scent Wipes — Do You Know About These?

Biom sent me their limited-edition Holiday Collection that is now available at Target! This is making wiping down the counters and other messes much more pleasant. The refillable container is nice enough to leave out (and that is saying something for me–as I do not like ugly wipe containers on the counter). There are different color dispensers.

I’m going to give the mini dispenser to our daughter as a gift to keep in her car for on-the-go messes with her toddlers.

The three holiday scents are pleasant. Frasier Fir, Peppermint and Mini Trés Vanille (with a woodsy scent and not too sweet). They are all made with zero toxic ingredients and safe for skin + surfaces. The wipes are compostable and also have a scent-free version.

Nice little stocking stuffers or hostess gifts.

Ruggable Washable Runner Under Little Feet

Our daughter likes the way this washable rug warms up the hallway. Leo likes the box that the Ruggable came in! It is the Morris & Co. Blackthorn Forest Green Rug. The historic design was originally for wallpaper by John Henry Dearle in 1892.

More great washable rugs:

I love washable rugs in high trafficked areas and places like a bathroom or a laundry room

What to Read: The Correspondent by Virginia Evans

You know that I’m cheap and wait to get books for free from the Libby, library app. But I was all set to buy a hardcopy of this book until Mercedes loaned me hers. I couldn’t put it down.

The book is in the form of letters sent and received by an old woman coming to terms with all the parts of her life. Really good.

I’m hosting my book club next week and the book I selected was “The Correspondent”! We’re even starting to exchange old-fashioned letters!
I agree your house is the best!

I loved “The Correspondent”! One of the best books I have read recently. It made me want to write letters – a lost art!

    Hi Mary Ann,
The beach house tour looks so fun! We were supposed to have our annual Holiday Home Look In Tour in our town of Ojai, Ca this weekend but we have pouring down rain!. Love the rain but so disappointing to miss the tour. I read 2-3 books per week and my favorite this year has been The Correspondent. I loved it so!
    Love your blog each week.

  6. Good Morning!
Well you have inspired me , closet organizers are on their way and so is the book. I am a new member to a book club and needed a book to recommend. After reading the excerpt I was hooked. Frankly some of the books in the club have been very hard to get through so this was refreshing.
    Thank you

  7. Your home is prettier than any of them! It needs to be on the tour! I love that crazy dining room with the wallpaper. I would never be bold enough to do that, as I know I would tire of it, but what a great look!

    1. You are the sweetest, Cindy. I feel the same way about the wallpaper too…I love it but they I like to switch out things (like pillows).

  8. Hi Mary Ann,
Thank you for sharing these lovely “beach vibe” rooms from the home tour. So many beautiful rooms, however none hold a candle to yours! Will definitely check out “The Correspondent”, I need a really good read. And that wedding in TX. looked amazing!

    Hi Mary Ann,
The Florida Beach homes are pretty. Me too, I like the wall paper on the ceiling. I have never seen that before.
Leo is a QT, nice rug.
The Correspondent sounds like a good read.
    Have a wonderful week ahead.
