I’m Having a Great Birthday!
I’m not a roughing it sort of girl
but I do like a beautiful day hike!
At the end of our seven mile hike in the Eastern Sierras, we stopped at a little café known as “Pie In The Sky.”
Famous for home-made pies (my favorite).
They were already sold out of some but we had the Loganberry (wow), Pumpkin and Pecan Chocolate Chip.
Why do my friends look so great and I could use a hairbrush? See the birthday candle?
They even had a present wrapped in cute fabric with a scroll card for me!
Inside was a pretty picture frame.
What a fun time.

Wow I cannot imagine a more fun way to spend the day!! Looks and sounds like perfection, hard work (hiking) surrounded by love (your friends) and then of course the icing on the pie…the pie and that charming little stop! Looks picture perfect…….absolutely beautiful scenery!
Oooh! Been there! But we were in more need for mosquito repellant that day than pie! (can you believe THAT?)
Happiest of birthdays – nothing better than walking with girlfriends and all the talking. Which we know resolves most personal conflicts (world peace will always be there) and celebrates all accomplishments.

Happy Birthday Mary Ann! Sure looks like you're having a "beautiful" time with your good friends…..one of the best ways to celebrate your special day. The first photo reminds me of our recent trip to Tahoe and the wonderful day hikes we did. Something about that mountain air that brings out the "outdoors girl" in us! At least you could justify eating that delicious pie after a 7 mile hike!
