How to Have a Cool Look with Vintage and International Textiles

A few days ago, I visited Juxtaposition Home in Newport Beach, California.  They always do an awesome job of mixing vintage and new ethnic textiles for an international, relaxed feel.
And I love their use of white and stripes.  Casual and Classic!

 Textured pillows made from kilims…

They have a nice selection of fabrics for purchase by the yard…

I like how they threw a piece of African indigo over the back of this headboard.  I’ve bought indigo textiles at flea markets such as the ones in Long Beach and Alameda, California.

Etsy and Ebay are also good places to find new and vintage ethnic textiles.

Pottery Barn Ticking Stripe mixes well with this look.

You can buy Vintage Indigo on Ebay and make your own pillows or throws.
This piece above is African…and it looks similar to Juxtaposition’s pillows…
Pretty cool, right?
