Debbie’s living room in her new home in Newport Beach, California is fresh, classic and gorgeous (kind of like her)! Look at the white millwork and mantel. The ceiling horizontal planking matches at the different angles! A custom-made antiqued panel mirror (that rotates up) hides the television.
The furniture that is in here now was in different rooms in her previous home. And it all works so nicely together. That’s a good tip when furnishing a home…if your furnishing blend, it gives you options when you move or downsize.
This alcove houses a game table that folds out. Those chairs used to be in Debbie’s office and they look great here.
Debbie, the next time I’m over let’s, please, carve out some time to peruse your books over a cup of tea.
Gorgeous custom pillows…
Here is a sneaky shot of Debbie opening the French doors…
Love the round window detail and the French pleats on her curtains…
Great job styling and editing with restraint…
Such an elegant beach home feel…
Debbie is still going to have sconces above the bookcases and a hanging light fixture… so I will give you an update then.
You can see Debbie’s last living room here. Thanks so much, Debbie, for letting us enjoy your talent!
Get the look…
This is such a beautiful room. Where are those beautiful footstools from? The upholstery choice against the dark wood is perfect!
I think Debbie bought it in a showroom to the trade…possibly Hickory Chair.
She has beautiful classic style and I am sure her home will never look dated….kind of like Phoebe Howard. Those curtains with the texture of the blinds is so good….I love!
What a lovely home. Fresh and light, but layered in with some lovely details. thanks for sharing!
Debbie’s home is just stunning! Makes me want to rethink everything about mine. Ugh! Love your new web-site design. Why is my comment all caps? I’m not shouting, really.
Ah, I see text converts about publishing.
Ha! The caps are just part of the re-design. Sorry. Your home is gorgeous. We need to catch up.
The room makes me purr.
I LOVE Debbie’s living room! You two make a great decorating team! So happy to see that coffee table in person. I am ordering it for C & L!!
Debbie is one lucky LADY!! WHAT A GORGEOUS LIVING ROOM. ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!
You too, Katie. Still have Thursday and Friday though 🙂
it looks absolutely beautiful, I long for white sofas but I know it would never work with five children, numerous friends of theirs permanently in and out and two dogs! i love browsing through books in people’s houses and she has a great collection, DEFINITELY something you must find time to do together.
Absolutely stunning! But i knew it would be. Such a dreamy color palette., casual elegance at its best.
xo Gail
I know, Gail. Isn’t it great?!
What a pretty, pretty room. Loved everything about it! every single detail was divine!
I love all the details too, Celia!
boy this is an elegant beach home Mary ann. I Love it. And I was interested in how she arranged her furniture since I have my TV over our mantel too and struggle to find the right arrangement.I noticed she put two chairs directly across although I’m not sure I have as much space as she does..(everyone over here wants a sectional but I’m not sure) Thanks for sharing Debbie’s home it’s beautiful. And great idea with the mirror too.
What a wonderful room. Love all the woodwork!!! The colors and accents are elegant but relaxed and inviting.
I know…really pretty colors, Pat!
The millwork in this room is so beautiful! Love it all!
Really great attention to detail, right, Lisa?
Beautiful work, mary ann. and the styled shelves. sighhhhhhh. xox
It’s gorgeous. Thank you for pointing out the details, such as the matching joints on the ceiling planking. Those are the kinds of things that drive me nuts if not done right, although I probably wouldn’t have noticed here had you not mentioned it.
Everything is beautiful, but that settee is particularly amazing.
I know…so many details to savor. Debbie is so good!
I would not change one single thing, i could move right in and live happily ever after. Such a beautiful room and the details are impeccable. Thanks for sharing and tell Debbie, GREAT JOB!!!!
I know… it’s amazing how great everything from her last home looks in here!
Beautiful home!
