While in San Diego, I stopped into my sister’s Target (always a fun activity for me…they dispensed hand sanitizer as you walk in the doors). Let me show you the fresh for Fall Home Decor at Target.
Fall Home Decor At Target
Hearth and Home
There are some cute fall decor items out right now.
Neutral Bed Linens
Neutral bed linens can have a calming effect in your bedroom and Target has some good ones.
I think this striped duvet looks fresh and sort of SoCal. I think it would be good for my sister.
Woven Stripe Nate Berkus DuvetSet
Studio McGee
Studio McGee is doing great work for Target! They have another new line coming out on September 13…but some things were already available in the store, so I thought I would give you a little preview.
I did a little two-minute styling here for the photo.
Checked Cube on sale • Round end table • Spindle Accent Chair coming soon • Chunky Throw blanket • Wooden bowl • Wooden vases • Blue lumbar pillow
The blanket stitched pillow below is cute, too…but I don’t see it online. Check your store.

It’s almost time for the three day weekend! We don’t really have any plans. How about you?
Mary Ann, Cute choices. Target has been doing such a great job on decor this year. I cannot go without buying a few new things. The Magnolia collaboration has been getting better too with their cute dishes and towels. I love their black flatware. I went to the Target in Utah while moving my son into college and they have a lot more space and displays there than here! I wish I wan’t flying home I would have bought more. The duvet covers you have here from Nate were on the beds on my Tahoe rental and I’m thinking of getting them for my boy’s rooms. The quality is excellent. Hope you’re good and had a nice getaway. xo
Yes…I saw that cute flatware, Kim. We need to get together for your birthday!
Very nice cheerful post, Mary Ann!
I LOVE Target. It is my favorite store in the USA. And Internet shopping {sigh}
Continued summery days here in Umbria; vegetable garden still providing.
Our friends who lived in England for many years…when they came back to the US, Target was one of their first stops 🙂 I’d love to be in Umbria right now!
We would love to have you!!
In my Target store in a suburb of Buffalo, NY the shelves were almost bare in the home decor department. I’m wondering if other towns are experiencing this too?
Yes, I think so as there wasn’t much in my local Target in Emeryville. But the San Diego Target was better.
Hi Mary Ann,
Nice post, such pretty items! I especially like that blanket stitched pillow. I’ve always been a fan of Target’s home decor. They’ve done a nice job of introducing designers to the general population, with affordable items that are nicely priced and decent quality.
Empty shelves might be indicative of everyone hunkering down, and trying to make home as comfortable and pleasant as possible during the SIP orders. I shouldn’t buy one more thing, but I’m always looking!
Hope you have a nice weekend, no plans here just more of the same. Our beaches will be closed so our morning walks will need to be relocated temporarily. With the fires there’s really no better place to be than at the beach. Oh well, there’s always next week!
Xo Heidi
You have really had a rough go, Heidi, with the fires. Take care!
I like your choices. Target is a fun place to shop.
Always excited to see you made it into my busy inbox! You’re so cute. And then there’s Target to boot! Thank you for keeping us supplied with such a nice variety of posts. I always love looking out your SF window! Just a thought…maybe have followers share their 5 Favs?
That is a great idea! I sometimes ask readers. What are yours, Colleen?
Mary Ann, Your 2 minute styling is incredible and the cube feels fall cozy in your home. I’m inspired to treat myself to one.
Because of the wet spring and warm summer at our home on Camano Island, WA , our small family orchard is giving us an amazing harvest. So, the holiday will find us drying plums, canning oven roasted applesauce, and freezing apple pie.
Warmly,
Diney
What a wonderful weekend, Diane!
I haven’t been to a real store since the second week in March and I don’t intend to until there is a safe vaccine. I’ll be 71 in October and there is simply nothing I am dying to buy. The University in our city has just started back and the Covid-19 cases have soared exponentially. Who would thought college students would obey rules? My new “window shopping” is online and fun curated blogs like yours. Thanks for the diversion and the eye candy.
I’m glad you are being safe!
Hmm, curious. I posted a comment that the home decor section at my Target near Buffalo, NY is mostly bare shelves and the comment was deleted.
That’s weird as I responded to you, Carol that ours up here are sort of bare but better in San Diego. I will look into it.
I still show the comment?
I am in love with the Arched Brass mirror by Magnolia at Target. I can’t wait to purchase it when it’s in stock. It will add just a touch of that brass color, that’s in right now, to my fireplace mantel.
I need to check it out!
Love Target and the new Studio McGee line! Thanks for sharing the new fall items. I live in Encinitas (San Diego) and we are lucky that our store has plenty in the home section!
That view out your window looks like a pretty painting !!
Sorry, Anne, I think if you are a first time commenter it holds it for approval.
Hmmm….my comment was deleted as well…
Yes you are so lucky, Anne. My sister’s Target is near Black Mountain? Anyway, North San Diego and it’s fairly new. When it was brand new it was amazing.
Clearly, I need to make a Target run!! No plans for us. We are still in semi hunker down mode. Happy Labor Day!
Happy Labor Day to you Linda!
Target has some of the best autumn ideas. Thanks for the update, I haven’t been to our Target as often as I usually am.
xo,
Karen
Me either, Karen!
I CAN SEE YOU IN TARGET RE-ARRANGING THEIR DISPLAY!!!!
LOOKS GOOD!
THEY SHOULD HIRE YOU!!!

As a visual merchandiser for Target, I can indeed attest to the bare shelves. My job as of late is to make things look as full as possible, while dealing with product that has been FLYING off the shelves, and also, because much of the home decor is made in either China/India/Vietnam, the disruption of the supply chain has been rather brutal due to Covid. I too think that much of the product is indeed amazing. The Studio McGee product in particular has found it’s way into my online cart more often than i care to admit!
I figured Covid was the culprit. With delays everywhere not just Target. Thanks for commenting. I was afraid you were going to reprimand me for a little impromptu styling as the table and chair were empty to start. 🙂
I only wish you were doing that at my East Coast store. Every vignette made is usually destroyed by days end, lol.
Well…seems like fun putting it back together!
