to add a French flea market flair
to the bridal shower…
along with shades of aqua blue, white and sand…
the colors outside the party venue
on the Newport Harbor bay.

These jars were filled with iced tea and lemonade
with lemon slices and lavender sprigs.
French 77 cocktails were served
(sparkling wine, St. Germain and fresh lemon juice).
We displayed a photo of the engaged couple while in Grasse, France.
This is the “chart room” at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club.
Our colors coordinated with the map on the wall.
There is the pretty cookie favor made by Pink Martinis and Pearls,
tucked into a folded linen napkin.
I hand wrote the place cards that
coordinate with the chairs and placemats.
Debbie, Laura and I each have raffia placemats
and we consolidated them for the party. Good to pool resources!
We had corn chowder served with a popover
then a trio of salads on a plate
(but I was too busy enjoying myself to get any photos).
Flowers by Lauren Drake.
Beautiful girlfriends (the bride is in the middle)
and this was the only gentleman invited to the party.
While the bride opened her presents,
we enjoyed vanilla ice cream and French macaroons
(on mixed vintage French china).
The bride was happy and I think we made her mom
(our dear friend, Debbie) feel loved, too.
