Susan has a beautiful, large, rustic ranch style home. We are updating it room by room while keeping true to the architecture and lightening it’s masculine edge. The beams in the dining room are real, solid wood.
In analyzing the room’s dated features, we wanted to:
- Lighten the walls to contrast with the wood beams and floors
- Keep the well made table. But give the chairs some love (if you have good chairs, consider recovering or painting them)
- Update the light fixture
- Add some pretty, fresh accessories
- When not having a large party, relocate a couple of the chairs to make more “elbow room.” OR (if you can), consider taking out a table leaf to make the room feel larger.
On the host chairs, we used a Kravet Geometric Fabric.
As well as, stain resistant Perennials Rough n’ Rowdy in Ash.
There is new lighting, Berkshire linear (good deal on sale now!).
Fresh Accessories: 36″ Oil Rubbed Bronze Round Mirror, Candlesticks, Rectangular Hurricane, Round Hurricanes, Footed Bowl, Textured runner
This is a good room for dinner with friends in the colder months or a quiet spot for Susan’s son to spread out and do his homework.
