We have houseguests coming to Atlantic Beach for the Florida/Georgia college football game next weekend as well as family arriving for the holidays. Here are some limited deals for entertaining that I found that may be useful to you!
Isn’t it great that we can gather again?
Extra Placemats
In looking through my table linens, I found that I didn’t have enough placemats for 10 or 12 guests. These are half-priced and add texture.
Classic Belgian Linen Napkins in Ivory
These ivory linen napkins are on clearance regularly at $10 each for $2.97 each. Only in the ivory color.
Extra Seating Stackable Chairs
These metal chairs from Wayfair can be used inside or on the patio for extra seating. We bought a set of four in black. There are lots of colors, and they are on sale and sturdy enough for commercial use.
They come already assembled (Howard was happy about that). We will stack them in the garage when not in use.
Chic Disposable Plates
If you want the convenience of sturdy paper plates but not the landfill problem, check out these plates made from palm leaves.

Fresh White Bath Towels From Target
I was noticing that our guest bath towels were looking pretty raggedy. So I bought some fresh ones!

Love the napkins and the placemats! And I love a sale. You are going to do great at the gym. I did hot yoga 6 days a week for 6 years and then we moved. The last year I have become a slug and lost all of my flexibility and ,muscle tone. I miss my studio but I am back to walking and doing weights. Moves are always hard on a schedule, take your time. You’ve got this!

All great ideas! I bought those plates for Madeline in her tiny apartment for when she hosts dinner parties! This posts reminds me of your post on how to create the perfect guest room! You always have the nicest touches!!!

Thank you for the heads’ up on the Serena & Lily sale! Beautiful bedding on sale there, but the last years have been difficult to find soft blue-green shades, which I’ve always used in our bedroom. Mineral green, robin’s egg blue, that kind of color. Have you seen that anywhere in a quilt?
Also, congrats on joining the gym and working with a trainer! I really went down hill during the pandemic with inactivity, despite the fact that my husband and I outfitted a home gym in our new house! I finally began by working out at home with a personal trainer 2X a week since Spring and have added much needed cardio and abs the other weekdays at an on-campus, trying to improve my fitness and figure before a holiday wedding ;-} My real point is that the soreness of the first months eventually goes away, and it will be very worth it when you begin to see a bit of toning going on here and there!

I have such a long way to go…thanks for the confidence builder.

I love the look of the placemats, but when gravy etc gets on them… how to clean them up?
The napkins are a great bargain, thanks!

I have other wicker ones (but only 6 of them) that I damply blot dry. These new ones are arriving today.

I run mine briefly under water and wipe off, then air dry. They are easier to clean than fabric placemats.

Hi Mary Anne. I went to the link for the Pottery Barn napkins but they are listed 4 for $40. Am I missing something? I’m really enjoying watching you design your beautiful Florida home. Have a beautiful day!
