This is a quick “Five Faves” about good things such as pretty and inexpensive cloth napkins, a coffee table book flash sale, and great athletic shoes. And there’s more as it’s Five Fave time with Annie and Cindy!
We have a busy weekend as guests are in town for Mercedes and Mark’s daughter’s wedding. Howard and I are hosting brunch at our house this morning for about 30 people. More about that later.
1. Taschen Books: Flash Sale Just This Weekend
My daughter just bought two new coffee table books that she thought you would want to know about since Taschen is having a big sale. Look for the XL sizes. Here are a few but check out the sale.
2. Inexpensive Cloth Napkins From Amazon
My daughter also told me about these 16 x 16 inch hand-blocked cloth napkins. It’s a set of 12 for $16.49. This could inspire you to set a pretty table for a lunch or dinner party! I’d like to buy two sets and play with the colors. So, I think I will use my link!
3. Hoka Workout Shoes And Inspiring Outfit
I try to get in 10K steps a day and my feet were starting to feel it. My sister and friend both love their Hoka shoes. I just splurged on a pair. Love that cushion in my step now!
My pretty corksicle tumbler keeps my iced water cold at the gym and throughout the day! These workout pants have a cellphone pocket which is nice,

4. Simple Orchid Centerpiece
Here’s my latest island centerpiece using two orchid plants from Trader Joes and moss in a soup tureen that we’ve had for years. That tray has been in practically every room in the house. And I’ve used the candle sticks on the mantel, dining room and on the patio, as well.
5. What To Watch
When eating lunch at home alone, I like to turn on the television. Recently, I started watching “The Home Edit” on Netflix. It’s been around for a few years (two seasons). It’s fun because they use real life people/problems like organizing and displaying Reese Witherspoon’s movie wardrobe and awards gowns.
The timing is good as on Thursday, Annie, Cindy and I are showing organization tips. My closet is getting a budget makeover. I’m loving the fresh look that you can easily copy.
If you would like to receive this series every week, please sign up HERE. That’s all about inexpensive cloth napkins, a great coffee table book sale, and awesome workout shoes.
Let’s see what Annie and Cindy’s Five Faves are this week:

I hope you like them, Francesca. They run true to size, I think.

I second the Hoka recommendation. I’ve had a pair of the Clifton 9’s since last June and they are absolutely fantastic for walking. Hope you are enjoying yours too!
Mary Ann Pickett says
I’ve walked in them twice so far and love them!

Love your island centerpiece, Mary Ann! I looked up the moss you use and ordered it from Amazon, finally.
TJ’s orchids are such a wonderful resource year ’round. My only problem is I really dislike throwing living plants away, so I am always looking for people to give the post-bloom plants to. But I have two that are growing two new shoots each, so they are definite keepers!
Home Edit is great for inspo: could use some of that right now to reorganize MY closet!
Mary Ann Pickett says
I’m going to start saving the plants when the flowers are gone and hang them on our back fence.
