A couple of times a year, I look in my closet and think “what the heck…nothing to wear?!” (Granted…who knows what’s in the ironing basket–have to get to that).
There is a difference as to what feels appropriate for San Francisco during the week (darker shades), versus the weekend. Also, I need a different, lighter feel for when I visit family and friends in the warmer climes of San Diego and Florida. AND as with interiors… I like to mix high and low.
Here are some “tried and true” items, as well as, some new purchases (and some wished for) for Spring/Summer. Since I’m on the short side, I often buy the petite sizes when available. But all of these come in regular sizes.

Off the shoulder is good for “women of a certain age” since our shoulders still look good 🙂 And I’m loving anything embroidered or with tassels. Block heels, too!
When stores like Anthropologie and Banana Republic have promotions, I’ve learned that they don’t last. So, be on the lookout. And sometimes you have to pay full price for something you really want.
3. Have these. 4. 5. Just bought during a 40% promotion.
2. Want this. Saw it in the store…so pretty. 3. 4.
What are you thinking you want to add to your wardrobe for the warmer weather ?
